The look of this place from outside might be deceiving. It's actually nice inside and food might surpised you. I came here with my Wife after one of other places were to busy and we didn't want to wait. Place is pretty nice inside, currently they remodeling so don't judge it till you try it. We were greeted but really nice, older Lady named Dori. She was really great, positive and helpful. We both got steak and eggs, I also got kielbasa and cup of fruits. Food came delicious. Perfectly seasoned and really high quality meat. It was so good that we came here next day (today). I really recommend this place 👌

We were told as soon as we sat down that they weren't going to fry anything because it was too hot. Then there was a hair in my daughters french toast so I sent that back. She figured she'd eat her bacon while she waited, only to find out they only cooked one side of the bacon. Sooooo...sent that back and she waited for both to come back. The staff didn't appear at all happy to be at work. Not sure we saw even the slightest grin from the waitress. She later came back to drop the bill (no smile) no thank you for coming, so sorry about the issues. Quite possibly the worst dining experience in Bristol.

One recent morning, my little boy and I decided to go out for breakfast so we googled and found nice reviews for Jimmy’s on the River, just minutes away from our home. We got seated right away. They served coffee right away and kept checking if refills needed. I ordered Western Omelette and a pancake. My omelette was so yummy I ended up sharing it with my son. His pancake was delicious and the cook went the extra mile and made him a cute Mickey Mouse pancake. The prices are very reasonable and everything is made from scratch. Will return.

I have never been to a restaurant with service as poor as this. My daughter and I went to this restaurant today for breakfast because we had never been there before and decided we would try to give him our business. What a mistake it turned out to be. Part of the reason why I was going was a friend of mine is visiting this coming Monday and we were going out to breakfast on Tuesday and I was looking for something different. I thought I would try Jimmy's on the river. When we walked in, we were told to look at the menu on the wall, order, pay, tip, and then go sit outside and they would bring us our food. We ordered scrambled eggs, hash browns, bacon and toast, coffee, juice and a soda. We had to carry our own beverages out to our table. We sat at the table chatting and enjoying the summer sun. Realizing then that a half hour went by, then another 20 minutes went by, and then at 5 min after 12:00 after over an hour of waiting for scrambled eggs, I went inside to find out if we were forgotten about, or if our order had ever been placed. I was told that the Cook cooks in order of the meals placed. I said we ordered scrambled eggs, and it's been over an hour. I could go to Riverside Diner and have my breakfast in 5 minutes. She went and checked, did not come back but instead sent another lady who told me they were boxing our food up to take outside to the patio. So I assumed my scrambled eggs and toast would be placed in a container and within a minute or so would be brought to my table. Instead we waited 10 more minutes. Three of the tables around me were swearing up and down and really angry at the service as well as myself and my daughter. Finally I got up again and went inside to ask where my food was and they handed it to me in styrofoam containers to take outside to eat. No ketchup no jams or jellies, no refilling coffee, no service whatsoever. When someone came out to put food on another person's table after they waited an hour and 20 minutes themselves, I asked the person to come to my table. I asked for something I had never asked before. I asked for my tip to be refunded to me as basically I was not given any service whatsoever. The person said it wasn't the waitresses fault that the food took over an hour. I disagree. It is up to the waitress to check on the food and alert the customer as to what's going on in the kitchen, to provide a refill of coffee. Supply condiments, ketchup salt, pepper, jam, jelly, sugar, creamers etc. I carried my own beverages to my table to which other customers actually handed me sugar and cream for my coffee because the waitress did not. I carried my own food out to the table. I was not given anything else I might need to enjoy my breakfast. The servings were small. This is definitely a place I would never recommend, nor would I ever visit again. Not once did the manager or owner attempt to rectify or apologize for anything. Not once did a server attempt to service the customers around us, as several tables were complaining and also had waited over an hour. This place is nothing special and nothing to write home about. Save your money and go to Riverside Diner or Parkside Cafe but don't waste your time and energy or money visiting Jimmy's On The River. I would not recommend this...

Not the worst. Not the best. Somewhere in between. Too busy, crowded and way too loud for my taste. It was like being at a bar without the fun stuff. The crayons they brought for my 3 yr old were all broken and they just gave us one of the placemats and turned it over for him to draw on. They had no booster seats. The food wasn't anything special. My aunts omelet was super runny. If you like sitting with strangers at the same table (you are an arm length away from the next table) you don't want to hold a conversation with whomever you actually went there with, and you want mediocre food and service, this is the place for you. And the parking lot is atrocious!! Prepare to go 4 wheeling in pond size/deep pot holes!!! I cant attest for the outdoor area since its getting cold now and it wasn't outdoor weather when we went, but it looks like there may be a little bug situation out there. You're right on the river and there's bushes and trees everywhere. I give...

Went for the first time today and waited almost 15 minutes before someone came over. Didn’t even have menus, but we watched a table walk in after us and order their food before we got menus. We found it online and ordered as soon as the waitress came over. The food was cold, didn’t taste very good, bacon way undercooked, and when we asked for silverware, we watched the waitress dry the forks and knives with a dirty napkin. We then waited for a very long time before having to go inside and ask for the check. They could not locate our ticket and we watched the entire staff yell at each other and argue while inside waiting to pay. After I paid, I did the math based on wait we ordered, and I believe I was overcharged by ~$3. After waiting that long, it was not worth it for me to go back and ask about it. Won’t be returning. Listen to the other reviews that are saying...
