They got my order wrong at the Bristol location. Manager was rude and refused to replace a small ice cream. Read on for details…
I walk up to the window after receiving 1 of 2 wrong flavors in my small cup. The attendant at the window closes the door to talk to people in the back. It was then that I found it odd they wouldn’t instantly replace a small cup ice cream. I had a feeling this was going to be an issue. The manager comes back and begins to argue with me for 5 minutes, offers me “half scoops” of the ice cream that was missing. He then offered to throw a scoop on top after I scoop off the wrong flavor, which honestly is gross and weird. I tried to give several chances to mend the situation just because I was so blown away they wouldn’t replace over a small cup. The manager explained they have two checks, one where they read off the receipt, and one where it’s on the screen. Valid point, that’s a good check to have in place, but I didn’t hear that my order was wrong even though it was wrong on the receipt.
It’s a SMALL cup of ice cream. I ultimately decided I didn’t want any of the solutions they offered because frankly it was kind of insulting trying to beg for a small ice cream under the sun in front of their “Covid” serving window. It’s the businesses decision how far they want to go to help these situations, so I respect their decision. The only power I have is to leave a bad review and after going there for the past 15 years (Southbury and Bristol) to never return, that’s all I can do. I’m content with that and I think I got my value back from that small cup...
Read moreI recently visited for the first time with my son. When he said the ice cream was good, I was merely expecting just another “good” ice cream shop. Man, was I sorely mistaken! Hands down, its thee BEST ice cream I have EVER tasted—everrr. I ordered a small toasted almond sugar cone. First of all, the (2) scoops were HUGE. My receipt read “small cone” (because I just had to check) so, unless they made a mistake, the servings are generous. But let’s talk about the FLAVOR and TEXTURE. The almond flavor didn’t have that sugary, artificial taste to it. Quite the contrary! And the texture was a symphony of silky, smooth, cold creaminess with a plentiful sprinkling of slivered almonds. My son ordered a cup of strawberry ice cream adorned with slices of fresh strawberries and velvety smooth ripples of whipped cream. Delicious!! Now, moving onto the price…..I paid $5.75. It may be slightly more than the average cone, but this is NOT your average ice cream! Again, the serving size is huge, and the flavor is unmatched. I am a firm believer in the old adage—you get what you pay for. At Rich Farm Ice Cream, where the treats are freshly made on the premise, you will surely get the quality you deserve at...

The girl who answered the phone was very pleasant and apologetic asked to wait so I could explain to a manager and get my money back. However the manager came on the phone very very rude and had the audacity to question why the 8 year old didn't eat her icecream in the parking lot and find it then. Then I try and explain to the manager and she implies I'm a liar. I proceed to day forget it I come to you guys all the time it's whatever thank you have a good day. Manager proceeds to call my phone 3 more times to scream and be disrespectful. I don't have time nor patience. I wanted to treat my friends daughter to ice cream because she lost a tooth now the 8 year old is crying and I'm out money for icecream with an employees hair in it and have a manager screaming at me on the phone.
