Bullwinkle's Coffee & More — Restaurant in Brodhead

As we were driving through the area, my husband & I decided to give this little shop a try. We spoke with the lady & placed our order. She told us our total was over $18 for 2 specialty coffees!! As I looked toward the sign & her, I said “We only ordered 2 coffees & the sign says $6.25 each?” That’s when she told me she had to increase her prices. We were in line with cars behind us & not wanting to be rude, I paid it hoping for the best coffees we’d ever had. Nope! $18 worth of crappy coffees! Weird taste, no outstanding flavors that were listed in the descriptions! And to top it off, the size was comparable to a medium at any other coffee shop. This place upped their prices & figured customers would pay it since they were literally in their car, with a line behind them, checking out when told the outrageous prices. I should have just said no & drove away! Fix your flipping sign to reflect the real prices! For $18 I could have gotten 3 Trenta size drinks at Starbucks that would have tasted delicious! The coffee and ice cream were good! a little overpriced because I only got a 12oz coffee (mocha) and it was around $4.00, but you got a lot of Ice for the price! The problem was the customer service. The one girl who served us our coffee on 7/14 rolled her eyes when we said we had separate orders even though there was no one behind us. She was also rude to us when we had a hard time pulling up to the window. She also gave us dirty looks when we were ordering. She overcharged one of us $8.00 for the ice cream that should have been $4.00 and we had to point it out. After we received our coffees and ice cream she slammed the window shut without saying anything. The girl who gave us our ice cream however, was very accommodating and friendly. We ordered the lucky matcha drink and were given this mint frappe drink. It had Andy’s mints blended up and was not a matcha. We decided to turn around and politely ask for the drink we ordered as this was our first time here and we had heard good things. We went back and were rudely told “We were given the correct drink” and were argued with. She was immediately rude from the beginning when we were just politely asking. Then she said she could “make that for us if that’s what we wanted” while continuing to say we were wrong and that wasn’t on the menu even though we asked for the exact same thing the second time. “An iced matcha with toasted marshmallows and lucky charms on top”.
