El Jefe's Taco Truck LLC — Restaurant in Brooklyn Park

I saw this place on tiktok. I was intrigued by the sauce in a baggy when I saw it on tiktok. I was like that's different. I spotted them behind a gas station while getting on 169 and had to go turn around and come back. I got 2 birria tacos and 1 asada. It came with some really delicious rice. The meat was very flavorful. The birria was not what I'm accustomed to being from Texas. I expected to see a taco dipped in a red chili sauce with meat, cheese, onions, and cilantro. It was basically a barbacoa taco to me. It was really flavorful just not what I expected. I asked for grilled onions instead of raw onions and still ended up with lots of raw onions. The verde sauce was good as well as the red sauce. I usually don't like the red sauce bcuz it's usually too spicy and i like spicy food. This red sauce was a tolerable heat. I may try to swing back by before leaving the area. Good job El Jefe!

LOOONG WAIT & POORLY RUN. Constantly asking people to repeat their order because they have no system in place. The wait time is easily 40 minutes or more. It’s absolutely ridiculous how poorly this place is run. I haven’t even tried the food yet because I’ve been waiting in line for 40 minutes and they just ran out of chicken. I cannot recommend. Apparently the reason for this place having a long wait time is because of a social media post. I’ll update my review if this place improves but people need to know not to come if they don’t have an hour to kill. UPDATE! After 1 hour and 30 minutes, my food FINALLY ARRIVED. Wow, what a find! I recently saw this taco truck featured in one of @tonycueggroll’s TikTok’s. I tried the steak quesadilla, and I have to say, it was fantastic! The quesadilla was generously filled with juicy, tender steak that was perfectly seasoned and grilled to perfection. Each bite was a delightful combination of melted cheese, flavorful steak, onion, cilantro, and soft, toasted tortilla. The portion size was very generous for the price, making it a great value. The quesadilla was served with a side of spanish rice and red and green sauces.

The service was quick and friendly. The food truck itself had a welcoming atmosphere, and I could tell they take pride in their ingredients and preparation.
