The owner and her fellow employees were very unprofessional not did they show any type of hospitality the customer service towards me was belittling I walked in and I couldn't find a menu and they disrespectfully announced one and said" you don't see the one right behind you " and there was one posted behind the front door on the wall behind me they made me feel incredibly uncomfortable from the moment I walked in They were staring at me and their mannerisms and body language were unpleasant and unwelcoming it instantly made me nauseous and sick to my stomach I'm a Caucasian person and i am truly in utter disbelief that these women degraded me and made me feel inadequate they insulted my intelligence and calmed that they haven't had any racist intent but I saw them depict a different vibe to the person that was leaving as I was walking in it sucks because there menu looks good but they attitude and the lack of hospitality is mind blowing and upsurd i do not recommend coming here if you go there with the idea of getting hold and friendly service I can assure you that it won't happen at this restaurant/carry out !!!! When I ordered I spent 100$ worth of food on 4/5/25 because I wanted to support a local black business. But was not happy. The quality of the food was not worth that price. I got the lamb dinner, the fish and beef sub, chicken and waffles, & party wings. The lamb dinner & wings was ok. my favorite was the fish sub, it was absolutely delicious 😋. However on the beef sub, she called me asking what I wanted on it. Which I requested lettuce, tomato, onions and mayo…and she put none of that on it 😑….It was sent with beef and cheese. the fries were burnt in all 3 dinners & the fish nuggets. It had a greasy old oil taste to it. And the fish nugget’s was burnt on the outside, undercooked & pink on the inside. It was mushy upon first bite and I spit it out. I placed my order on DD which I reported with them as well, in which they gave me a 15$ refund. The mushiness of the fish mess my head up, my tummy started turning & my whole appetite was ruined. if I could redo this order I would only ordered the fish sub & get collard greens...

Stopped in on 5/20/23. Good rainy Saturday morning. To my surprise it wasn’t busy at all and walked right on in. I was greeted by a young lady and an older woman. Granma she called her. Very soft warm welcoming and atmosphere. The tv was on Law and Order SVU. My favorite show. In a matter of mins it picked up. The young lady did the damn thing. I felt right at home. I felt comfortable and with family. I ordered 3 Erica slams all 3 different. The customer ahead of me ordered 2 Erica slams. Listen the amount of food you get will have you good and full until lunch/dinner. You get home fries and grits. The best breakfast food I’ve had. Homemade. Black owned family ran restaurant. Go ahead and check them out. You won’t be disappointed at all. Another customer recommended the chicken and waffles. I didn’t get that. Might go back for dinner. Heard the lunch/dinner food is soulful and my family love soul food....
