Cute local restaurant with a big menu of breakfast and lunch favorites, and weekly specials. I got the clam chowder which was delicious, thick with lots of clams and tender potatoes, and garnished with a little fresh parsley. I also had the boneless wings which were crisp and spicy.

We eat here from time to time. Weekdays are not too busy but weekends are packed. Food is consistent and service is good. We’ve never has bad service or food we didn’t like. Prices are fair.

Not a bad place, I got the farmers omelet. Hash browns were awesome. Good service, good vibe. Only suggestion is to clean up a little more but that's part of the charm of the place.

Here's my long winded review but I feel it's worth saying. My daughter picked this place for her birthday breakfast out of all the other places we've been for breakfast. She is 4 years old. We had an older waitress and I only saw 2 working on a wednesday morning. My daughter attempted to order Orange juice and pancakes and the waitress cut her off and told us to talk for her and that she didn't have time to "figure out" what she was saying. This was an immediate red flag since I could see there were a total of 5 tables seated including us and I didn't think she was the only waitress working. (she wasn't) either way she eventually brought us our food and placed it all in front of me to distribute and didn't bring a separate plate we asked for for our son who didn't get one. My wife ended up getting up and getting one herself. The older woman never ONCE checked on how we liked our food and only came over while we were still eating to ask if we wanted a box. I told her no thank you and that we would stay and finish our meal. She left again and came back one last time and did not hand me our bill, instead she dropped it on the table and walked away. My wife who used to waitress is usually on the side of the waitress and understands business and stress, but this woman had time to serve 2 other tables and stand in the back and talk to the other waitress. The other waitress was kind enough to say "bless you" when our kids sneezed and even wished my daughter a happy birthday when she over heard so props to her! There is no excuse for how this older women treated us and my daughter didn't understand why she wasn't allowed to order...

Tried this place today based on someone’s recommendation. Sadly will not be returning. Way over priced for the quality of food and taste. The home fries were cold in the middle and the hash browns you think you’re getting homemade especially when they have an up charge. Yeah no your getting a frozen patty you can buy at the local grocery store and it’s filled with oil. I ordered a milk shake and upon receiving it I couldn’t even drink it. It tasted like a watered down chocolate milk and the milk was curdled and had chunks coming through the straw and after two sips I pushed it to the side an ordered a new drink. The worst part is after complaining about it they didn’t even take it off the check. So I was stuck paying over $6 for a curdled milk shake I took 2 sips out of. That was a complete waste of $70 if you ask me. breakfast for 4 people for $70 I would expect to be eating at a high end diner. I’ll stick to our local restaurants that are half that price and the food quality...

Waitresses are always nice and try their best to help with questions, re-fill coffee, etc... my only negative comment would be that the food is usually either burned, cold or barely lukewarm. If CT Board of Health came in and checked the food temps, I doubt if it would pass inspection at 165° that's for sure. The other day the homefries were so cold in the middle and so burned I had to leave them on my plate. I don't like sending back food for fear of getting something "extra or worse" put into my food. If you've watched some of the cooking shows, you know what I mean. Google wants me to describe the atmosphere... well it's a cute place with both booths and tables and they seat you where they like, but you can always ask for a different spot and they will accommodate you. The carpeting could use a good cleaning. They have a 2nd newer area in back that is closed off but they will open it up for those busy mornings or for a private party. Plenty of parking and also have a...
