Headquarters Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Brooklyn

Our family visited this very well known bar/restaurant for the first time for my 33 yr old daughters birthday, and we were treated very very poorly. Not a soul said hello until we were walking out. The cooks sister greeted us as we were leaving. She was not there upon our arrival. Had she been, we would have at least been recognized as customers. The food was cold, everybody's...and I suppose it is custom at that establishment to treat newcomers the way we were treated however, I would not treat any stranger in this manner. I do hope that the "click" that patronizes that bar/restaurant do not live their daily lives with such disregard to a human being and I do hope the management reads this particular review. What a shame to have such ill mannered employees and patrons. The so called waitress said very rudely as I was walking up to the bar, "who's payin for this?" And I let her know that my son was already at the bar waiting to pay our bill, which by the way DID NOT INCLUDE A TIP!!!!! Had our family been treated with just a little respect that so called waitress/barmaid would have made herself a whopping big TIP. Here's the tip...treat others as you would like to be treated. Have frequent this establishment many many times over the years. Food and drinks are decently priced, food is pretty good, the staff, well it's a bar! Some are friendlier than others which is a given with the environment they're working in. However a friend and I visited there last night and was ready to order when the cook was out front knocked over a few carryout orders on to the floor. The boxes of course opened when they fell and she looked up, basically to see if anyone saw it. Picked them up and proceeded to open the containers all the way to adjust the food in the boxes. Pretty much touching someones food. No, all the food didn't touch the floor but that just wasn't cool. To make matters worse, when the bartender came over to take our order my friend mentioned the incident to her and she said, "hell, they're about 45 minutes late picking up anyway!" 😯 He told her that's not an excuse for what just happened. Anyway, needless to say, we may not be going back there. He loves going there when he's in town. Not so...

We aren't bar people lol but we've been ordering to go from their kitchen and their food is really good and so fairly priced! 3 meals plus some extras last night cost $33 before tip..... You really can't beat it. Their burgers have been great every time we've ordered and they have good, beer battered fries. Also the bartender was completely amazing and receptive to learning harm reduction education from me with 0 resistance💗 They now have narcan behind their bar so they can respond to any overdose situation, if one were to occur, as well as other harm reduction tools and education materials she allowed me to leave for their customers to utilize and learn more🥰 I will Always support and advocate for businesses that are willing to help us save lives and combat this...
