West Jefferson Bar & Grille — Restaurant in Brownstown Charter Township

This bar is very nice with good food and prices. The place's format is much similar to its former owner of Big Al's; similar menu and building layout. I will say that there are more specials and promotions, which can be viewed on the monitor at the end of the bar.

I think that it's cool that they still have free popcorn. Even though I don't like it that much, it's always nice to have a complimentary snack.

I ordered the frog legs, which were okay. Not the best I've ever had, but definitely decent. My dad got the codd, which was pretty good.

They also have a pretty good variety of beer on draft.

There is a backroom with seating for events and gatherings. So the place is quite spacious.

Overall, this is a nice place with good food and good atmosphere. Pretty reasonably...

Been going to Big Al's for years. Worst experience ever tonight. Our server was also tending bar so we had to ask other staff for things we needed like drinks, napkins and utensils. Got a Tuna melt to share with my husband. The bread was cold and greasy by the time it made it to the table. The sandwich was stacked 3 inches high with tuna which made it a bloody mess to eat. I had to scrape 1/2 of it off to manage the sandwich. Wrong type of fry. The food runner offered to swap it out, but I only eat 4 or 5 fries and hate food waste so I declined. 5 minutes later here come the fries so there was a lot of food waste. It's so disappointing when you are the cook at home and have such a bad dining out...

I always take pictures of my food and try to do as many reviews as possible. This place was so bad I didn't even want to be there. They had like a benefit going on in a different section and it was spilling over to the whole bar. We were like super crowded and the waitress was way overworked. The food was horrible as well. I ordered ribs and they had a really with a weird taste to them like they were not good. My fiance ordered a Reuben and it tasted like it had Dearborn ham on the sandwich. It was a complete fail for date night. If you just want to go drink some alcohol yeah it might be okay. They did have pull tabs. If it wasn't for that I would try to...
