ONLY TAKES CASH OR CHECK!!! Be aware that this establishment does not accept any modern form of payments i.e. credit, debit or Google/Apple Pay. Must plan ahead to have enough cash on hand and especially if you are from out of state then your cards likely won't work at the ATM because of security restrictions. I had to borrow cash from a friend so that I could pay for my pizzas. They should give some warning when you place an order or list it on their website especially with a big order. Luckily the thin crust pizza was really good and worth it to go back even though the overall experience was negative.

Tara is amazing! The infused bloody Mary is worth a trip, as is the delicious pizza! Great medieval-times rustic atmosphere, some vintage game machines, an old jukebox, beers--what more could a gal need!?! Bring some friends or family and enjoy a leisurely meal and conversation. Call ahead if you're boot-scootin,' as they can't make quadruple pizzas at a time.

The pizza here is great lots of ingredients & cheese. No skimping on anything. Very friendly people here , lots of locals . Later they were having live music upstairs. Very cool old restored building & the prices we’re responsible, lots of beer choices

Saxon Hall was recommended by a coworker who lives nearby. I traveled over an hour to get there and I have to say that it was well worth the trip! The old world German beer house atmosphere was delightful and the food was superb! I enjoyed the 16 inch deluxe pizza so much that I also bought a take and bake for home! The service was great and the people were very friendly, something you would expect from a small town in Minnesota. Viking hospitality runs deep here! I would definitely recommend this place for the pizza affectionado! I will definitely be making more trips to this place...

One of the best pizzas in the area !! We have tried the German Sherman' ,the deluxe, and the taco not one negative to any part of this place and I love they have the local spring Grove pops as well as 1919 rootbeer on tap with a full bar to plus popcorn, games awesome artwork for sale and a duck machine! That's just the start, whencu first walk in the original and exposed rustic oak timbers are reminiscent of a viking lodge , the service is also just amazing our second time there and they knew our name already! It's definitely worth the detour as you make your way down the...
