PLEASE READ!! PLEASE READ!! Super unprofessional!! Worst restaurant experience ive ever had! Went here got 5 cheeseburgers and asked them to separate everything from the meat and put all the sides to the side (pickle, lettuce, onion, tomatoes) because when they put it together, by the time i get home the bread is soggy. They say fine good to go. So i get there wait 25 mins on the 5 cheese burgers. Fine no big deal, i get the burgers and everything pull to the back and see that the only condiments they gave me was lettuce and tomatoes which i used to eat here alot when i live just down the street so i know that isnt what comes standard on a burger when you ask for everything so i pulled back around and just asked, "Do you guys have pickles and onions?". The little girl responded yes and then i proceeded to tell her how they only gave me lettuce and tomatoe and asked if i could have a little cup of pickles and onions. No big deal right? Well she said well they are going to want all the containers back they wont just give me a side of pickles and onions. So i had to dig thru a bag with over 10 containers to find it. At this point im getting irritated because i have to go thru all this instead of just giving me a side of pickles and onions . When i was handing the containers to the little girl i said and i quote "If they didnt f**k it up they wouldnt have to get them back". Never did i ever cuss the little girl. That Ron fella who owns the place came to the window and said what we gave you is what you get on a burger and i knew that was a lie. He proceeded to tell me i couldnt come back and that he was giving me a refund and slammed the window. Let me sit there 5 more minutes before coming back to say he changed his mind on the refund and slammed the window again.. Get the codimemts back and if im lying im dying they had SPIT IN THE CONDIMENT BOX. Atleast it looked like a big spit ball so i already have fear of sabotaged food. So i...
Read moreWell, we were excited to try the basket, as we have heard good things from our friends about their food. We went tonight to give them a try and they were packed, usually a good sign that you are going to get good food. While waiting in line, I talked to a nice gentleman about ordering and he also told me that the food was good. After waiting in line for 20 minutes, we made it so that we could place our order. I ordered the bite sized shrimp plate with a baked potato and a salad, and my wife ordered the chicken strip salad with corn fritters. After ordering, they told us it would be about 45 minutes. We said ok, since we knew the food would be awesome! An hour went by and people who had come in after us and ordered had gotten their food, eaten, and left and we still hadn't had our name called. I had just gotten up to go check on our food when they called our name. We were almost the only ones left in the place, so I almost think they lost our order, but finally that awesome food was here! I brought the food back to the table and quickly tasted a shrimp to be completely disappointed. These were food service shrimp that have more batter than shrimp. The potato was good, but it is hare to screw up a potato. My salad was ok, but the dressing, blue cheese, left a lot to be desired. My wife's salad was fair, the dressing, thousand island, was less than desirable and the corn fritters weren't that great. So, either we have been lied to, the quality of the food has gone down hill, there is food on the menu that needs to be removed, so that you order food that tastes good, or you need to try somewhere that actually has good food to know what it tastes like, because this is not good at all! It was a waste of...
Read moreWell worth driving out of your way!
We each got a burger and fries. The regular burgers are 1/2 lb patties, so I got the kids burger, which was 1/4 lb. The patty is thick and cooked all the way through, but definitely not dry or overdone. Just the right amount of toppings. The crinkle cut fries were awesome, too. The sodas are a generous size.
My bf got a double meat, double cheese burger with bacon and steak fries. The steak fries were good, but he ended up liking my crinkle cut fries better because they were crunchier. He tends to slather BBQ sauce on everything and it seemed like theirs was made there. It was pretty darn good.
They also said they made cakes and pies that were really good- they are made in house every day. Unfortunately, they must've been too good because by the time I got there 30 min before closing, only one lonely piece of strawberry cake was left. Strawberry isn't my favorite, but I figured I would get it anyway because the burger had been so good. I did like the cake, but it had been in the fridge and I always prefer room-temperature cake, so I ate a couple bites and took the rest with me. The cake slices, by the way, are also gigantic.
The staff is super friendly and chatty, but not overly so. They are curious to know where you're from, etc. They're happy to give specific recommendations but don't push any particular thing too hard.
If you are headed there at night like we were, you have to keep an eye out for the place, since its sign is not neon or super-bright. We accidentally drove right past it at first. And don't wait too late to head over there- they closed at 8:00 the (weeknight) night...
