Great find pretty much in the middle of nowhere. Didn't look like much from the outside. We had to wait about 20 minutes as we got there around 1 o'clock. Apparently it gets very busy at noon. We had been in a car for about two hours, so we didn't mind standing around waiting... there are some benches to wait on which is nice but if you have been in the car for any distance of time, it feels good to stand up we opted to sit at the first available, which put us on the inside, there are outside eating areas by the River, but we would've had to wait a longer time for one of those tables. They didn't have a lot of outside seating, but during different times of the year, they probably would be very nice to sit there. The reason I gave this five stars was because of the food. The atmosphere was OK very dark and felt like a Jolly Rogers. But the food was stupendous. I ordered a shrimp tacos and they came on good sized tortillas. On the bottom of the taco was a coleslaw mixture that had horseradish in it, and the shrimp was fried, and there were so many shrimp. I had to eat a few off just to take a bite of the taco ha ha. That is not a complaint that is a compliment, lol. The combination of the coleslaw flavor and the shrimp flavor, and the batter was so good! I ordered the spuds and they were these thick slices of fried potatoes. That were very good although a little bit greasy for my taste. My husband ordered the seafood platter and he got fish and shrimp and the spuds. There was a lot of food. It was very good and the prices were good, our waitress was very cute and attentive.

Waitress was very friendly, helpful & attentive to our needs. After questioning the one refill allowed after getting a full glass of ice in our drink, she brought out another glass of soda without ice and told us not to worry about it. Great save! The food (Shrimp Tacos, Shrimp meal & Marsh Hen basket) was really good and was prepared quicker than expected. A shrimp boat was parked out back to make you think that the Shrimp that we ate was caught locally, which I cannot confirm as that I forgot to ask. Their was no wait at 6:30pm on a Wednesday night and it appeared that they had plenty of inside seating, but not outside as that was what we wanted. Recommend either coming earlier or prepair yourself to wait for an outside table to open up. Love the scenery inside and out as out back is along the water. Hard to see the restaurant sign from the road & did not notice a sign on the building itself. I believe a Dolphin tour boat is docked out back along with the Shrimp boat.

My family were in this area for one evening and were really hoping to have some good seafood - in particular some good Georgia shrimp. We also hoped to find a place on the water. After a search this was one of the restaurants that looked like we could have both of those things. It turned out to be absolutely disappointing as far as the food goes. After asking some questions of our server about our best options, my daughter and I decided to share a shrimp platter. My grandson went for the child's shrimp dinner. Well first, the child's $8 platter had 18 shrimp on it and our $21 platter had 16 shrimp. Well you could maybe think that the child's plate had some small shrimp but no, both of the platters had the same sized shrimp. To be sure, I took pictures of each against the same fork to verify. The adult platter shrimp had tails and the child's did not. The child's shrimp were not too bad but the shrimp on the adult platter were hard as rocks and rubbery like they had been sitting since yesterday - honestly. The hush puppies were as hard as rocks. I could have broken the window if I had tossed it. The baked potato was small. We couldn't and didn't eat the shrimp. I really don't like to complain and my daughter really would rather pay for a bad meal and forget about it. I might tend to do that too if the meal was $10 but not for $22. Well I decided to ask the waitress to remove the adult platter from our bill. She went to the manager and the manager took half off. In hindsight I should have spoken directly with the manager since the waitress has no power in any of our issues. Taking half off our platter was not sufficient. I told the waitress that but she just shrugged because there was nothing else she could do. The manager should have come over to talk to us; I should have insisted on talking to them. My only recourse is to let others know it is not the place to eat if you are looking for good shrimp.

I only gave it a 2 because our Mahi Sandwiches were good. However, we used the rest rooms and the ladies bathroom was filthy. I have added photos. Having worked in the restaurant business for 6 years, we know the expression that “ if the bathrooms are dirty you don’t want to see the kitchen”. On our way out we noticed that their cleanliness score is an 83 (photo attached). From a restaurant standard that is not good. Anything below a 90 means work needs to be done. The photos attached are: 1. Dry blood on the ladies room stall near the toilet. 2. Floorboards in the ladies stall with grime and dirt that have not been wiped down in ages. 3. The door handle leaving the ladies stall is filthy and should be bleached. 4. The trash can has not been washed down in a long time. Not sure who cleans the rest rooms but they shouldn’t clean JUST the toilet and sink. Every week or so a deeper cleaning should be done.

Tried this spot expecting good seafood! Very disappointed in the food here for starters we tried the Brunswick stew it was ok I’ve had better, the buffalo tenders wings and shrimp was just that meat thrown in buffalo sauce nothing exciting! My husband and I both ordered Grouper with shrimp grits and okra. The grits was watery and very salty, the shrimp was fried hard and rubbery and the grouper was fried hard no flavor and not flaky as it should have been as well and rubber the batter was not seasoned and then the piece of grouper was so mall for the price they charged is ridiculous. We sent the fish and shrimp back to be recooked and the new food was worse the the original food they bought us! I would never eat here ever again! The waitress was very nice, attentive and very apologetic but the food YUCK! How do you mess up shrimp?

First time here and had a great time! 🥰 The mango margarita was delicious. We had the fried mushrooms as an appetizer, and they were amazing. Def get them with a side of ranch. I tried the fried shrimp po boy with a side of spuds for my entrée, and it did NOT miss. You have to try the spuds! I thought I was a fan of french fries but forget all that lol. Get the spuds, and thank me later. My date tried the grouper basket with a side of spuds. It was fantastic! Flaky, buttery soft, and freshly fried. I highly recommend the fried fish, they know what they’re doing back there. Brandy took care of us at the bar, and the hospitality was fantastic. So thankful for hot, fresh food and great service! Would highly recommend this place! Check them out if you’re in the neighborhood. 💕
