New China Restaurant — Restaurant in Brunswick

By far, hands down, the WORST Chinese food I think I've ever had (and I've lived in 4 different major cities, where I tried multiple Chinese food joints). I ordered a couple of their chicken & broccoli entrees. The chicken was rubbery/over cooked. The "garlic sauce" it is apparently made with was some kind of tasteless white sauce that didn't resemble any kind of garlic sauce I've ever seen. The broccoli florets were TINY and there werent many of them to begin with. They honestly looked like they came from a frozen bag of Green Giant. I asked for hot mustard packets, and they were dark brown (which is what happens when the packets are stored for too long....like months too long) Needless to say, I'm incredibly disappointed in our meal tonight, and we definitely won't be ordering from here again. If you're looking for good Chinese food, try Asian Taste Lee; they blow this place out of the water!! They are closed on Mondays, unfortunately, which is why we regrettably ordered from New China in the first place. The only good thing I can say about this place is they have beautiful saltwater...

We had heard this restaurant was good so decided to give it a try. The place is clean and decent looking. We were quickly greeted and seated. The menu had simple choices. We ordered a combination plate and a lunch special plate. When the order came, it looked to be a decent portion. The chicken in the sweet and sour lunch special had the smell and definite aftertaste of almost the end of its life oil that it was fried in. The egg roll was okay. I don’t know about the fried rice though; that is a curious take on fried rice. The other plate consisted of chicken wings, beef skewers, and ribs (or at least the menu said they were ribs.) The wings were okay, the beef didn’t really have any specific taste but the ribs (?) were awful. Two tiny chunks of pork with the bone on, an 1 1/4” long by 1” wide, that were deep fried, with no sauce of any kind. They actually were awful. Would we recommend this place ? Probably not. Would we return for a second try?...

This place is not what it used to be! Food hasn't been the same for a while now. Last visit our food was terrible and my husband's Shrimp w/ lobster sauce had frozen carrots and peas raw and uncooked! Sent it back and we were informed that his shrimp would be overcooked if they cooked the vegetables. Instead of offering another meal they exoected us to settle for what they were offering (undercooked veggies or overdone shrimp). We told them we were leaving and didn't want the food. They wanted to argue with us about it like we had to pay for food we didn't eat. Absolutely ridiculous! Let's not even mention the times we were in there before and the air conditioning wasn't working. Had some old dusty fan blowing on us while we eat. Learn how to treat your customers and maybe you'll have enough business to buy a new ac unit or fix the...
