Wow, this place has gone downhill. The first few times we went the food was great, it was always packed and they offered a good variety. The last time we went it was dead. I thought they were closed until we saw the sign. When we were being led to a table the waitress kept passing tables because they were dirty. One had a dead stink bug on it. The menu had been cut down to bare bones. They don't have fried chicken or salmon anymore. They removed everything but the main bbq options. Their $8 corn bread appetizer used to be a fresh out of the oven full loaf mini-skillet. Now they drop 3 stale dry pieces on your table. Inedible. The ribs were greasy and the membrane on the back hadn't been removed making them hard to eat. They placed the greasy ribs on top of the fries, which made them soggy. The salt and pepper were both sticky. I had to go wash my hands after using them. The one saving grace was the nice waitress. I don't see how she can make a living there, so she got a full tip. But that meal was a huge waste of money. I will...
Read moreThe owner of this spot owns a successful BBQ food truck, and he got the opportunity to move into this building and open a store front as an extension of that. The menu and hours vary and they do what works best for them during that time! As a local, I always check their Facebook to see if they have any recent announcements, and anytime we drive over we always know that there is a slight chance that they may not be open. They rarely open the phone when I call and recently the owner is serving the tables and they've slimmed down their staff. It makes it hard for customers, but I admire them for not trying to be something they're not and doing what they can. and what they CAN do, is BBQ!!!!! Their BBQ kills, the habanero BBQ sauce is addictive. Their All you can eat wings are my favorite special. They have a bar with liquor, beer and wine. Definitely worth checking out if you can catch their "open" sign on or if you see their truck (Evelyn Mae's)...
Read moreWent there for the 1st time tonight 10-21. Overall it wasn't bad. This is the QST restaurant where for 2 people was 95 dollars and I still left hungry. Brisket was 36 dollars a pound and that didn't even include the side which they add 5$. So for 1lb of brisket and some potatoes was 41+tax. Really don't feel like it was a pound. Food was decent. Bang bang shrimp was good but again 16 bucks and you get 4 shrimp with a little lettuce and onion. 95 dollars plus we left a 20$ tip so 115$ for 2 people and we was still hungry. Really suggest adding that side in the price along with reevaluating the price per pound prices I really feel like if you give your customers more food with lower prices you would have a well know place in the near future. Best thing was my wife said the bloody Mary was the best she's had in a while so your bartender...
