Rooftop on Miller — Restaurant in Buckeye

My wife and I had been talking about checking this place out for months and finally decided to make the 30 to 40 minute drive out.

After figuring out parking (there is construction going on right next to the establishment) we were met and seated by extremely friendly staff members and our order was taken by a wonderful server.

While waiting for our food we enjoyed a beer in a private booth and listened to the soft background rock music while having conversation... Then the vibe completely changed...

The music stopped and was immediately replaced by the high volume audio of a baseball game which we could barely hear or have conversation over.

Then the food arrived. It looked amazing... But.. looks can definitely be deceiving. I ordered a patty melt and my wife ordered the sliders. The patty melt was overpowered by the flavor of the thousand Island dressing on it and the sliders were way overcooked and dried out

My wife couldn't even finish her first slider but I decided to fight my way through the patty melt and finish it even though I hated every bite.

This was some of the very worst food that we have had in quite a while (and the absolute worst patty melt that I have had in my entire life... It was honestly beyond disgusting).

To top it off, the establishment is called the Rooftop. When we came in there was no access to upstairs or rooftop dining. This was actually one of the reasons that we were intrigued and drove so far.

Needless to say, we were extremely disappointed with the Rooftop on Miller and won't be making the drive out there again.

If it wasn't for the amazing staff I probably would have left a one...

We were looking for a local spot to try after a long day riding our OHV in the desert and came across Rooftop and decided to check it out. Depending on what direction you come you may not see it if you aren’t looking. One side is a Filiberto’s and other their spot. Luckily this time we found a spot we could park with our truck and trailer this time, but with how busy the lot was and the fact they’re building in the lot Nextdoor we won’t be able to do it again most likely. We arrived and were greeted with an empty hostess station and a sign to seat ourselves. We chose a high top near the bar. It took quite a few minutes before a server came over, but when she did she was friendly and took our drink order while we looked over the menu. We have a super picky teenager and were glad they had chicken tenders, hot wings, etc. my daughter and I couldn’t decide between a club or the bacon burger so we ordered both and split half of each. We ordered of course chicken tenders and another bacon burger. Our food came out pretty quick. I don’t typically care for ciabatta bread which came on the club, but it was actually pretty soft and warm. While good it didn’t give a flavor of what a toasted club would give. I did like the meat ratio and avocado it had. Fries were awesome and crispy. The burger was delicious, juicy and veggies fresh. I’d definitely order it again or try one of their others. Service lacked a bit and took quite a while for her to come check on us or see if we needed refills even though we were right near the bar area and they weren’t too busy late afternoon. The first year in my entire life of going to school and working I finally get my birthday off I was looking forward to spending that day with my friend who lives in buckeye she wanted to try the place also food was great except for the hair that was under my third piece of fish and whatever black balls were floating in my drink the waitress was rude about having to bring me a new drink it was just a root beer when I pointed out the hair that was under my third piece of fish she said nothing grabbed the plate yanked it and walked away, she came back with a check and took off a whole $3.70 so I went to the manager who corrected it properly and I'm guessing she got in trouble since I waited and waited for her to come cash me out because she asked if the manager cash me out and I said no but she left me standing there almost 15 minutes so I decided to go to my car and have a cigarette and drive around in front of the building to see if I can pay then instead she comes out a few minutes later cussing calling us names rips money out of my hand which was over paying the bill not like she deserved a tip of even a quarter don't you think if my plan was to dine and dash I would have ran to the car got in and took off not sat there and smoked a cigarette!? Not that you could have tried to explain that to her because she was such a see you next Tuesday she didn't want to hear anything anyway which is sad because I had every intention of bringing my entire family there two weeks later which now will not happen because I'm not going to be treated that way and I sure as hell will not be accused of...
