Sweet Cheeks Diner — Restaurant in Bucksport

My daughter (who's visiting from Florida) and I anxiously awaited the moment we could enjoy breakfast at one of my favorite bakeries at its newly opened diner. I was delighted to see it nice and busy and we decided to set in the side area (bar). Our waitress was "there", no interaction with us aside from taking our order. I ordered 2 eggs over easy, home fries, an English muffin toasted on the grill with homefries. When our order came out my immediate reaction was "interesting??". My over easy eggs were over well to the point of being fried, sausage patty looked like a cinder block, and the toasted English muffin I had ordered was cold and soggy, homefries had a strange taste I cannot describe. I took a nibble off each just to see if my eyes were deceiving me. They were not. Plates of our uneated breakfast were taken with no question as to why the plates were still full. I understand its all new and there are quirks to work through. I, myself won't be back....

I absolutely love themed diners and the whole vibe of them. This does not disappoint when it comes to atmosphere, service and food! I absolutely loved the decor, My husband and I walked around looking at everything taking photos. We went on the second day and they were out of a lot of things because of such a wonderfully successful first day so they accommodated us by attempting to discount my check but we told them we would love to just support them because food is amazing and it's not BAD they did so wonderful the very first day!! I'm excited for once they get in their groove and I know it will be a 10/10 and our new "go to" spot. We had lunch but we are excited to try breakfast next time! We are from out of state doing the tourist. We were some friends who moved up there and told us their bakery is awesome and they recently opened up a diner. So we tried it. They had a small line to be seated. I noticed no one was eating. No food was really coming out of the kitchen either. The waitress were in NO hurry moving about. We finally got seated after about 35-40 mins. We e were only offered drinks cause the kitchen was backed up. We only saw 1 table get their food. After 50 plus minutes and only seeing 1 table get food and several tables leave without getting food we also left.
