Updated review (2025): I’m happy to say that not a lot has changed here over the years. Luna’s still feels like a very nice place to go with friends or if you’re going on a date. This bar & grill does a really good job of feeling classy and casual.
One of the things I wanted to mention was the menu has changed over the years and unfortunately the cheese steak egg rolls and the voodoo burger were off the menu. The burgers are still great but the wings were out of this world and even my partner agreed. More on the pricey side so my expectations were high and they were still the best wings I’ve ever had currently. It was so good that it’s the main reason why I even came back to rewrite this. Hot honey and dry rub jerk were the choices, but honestly it comes down to how the wings were cooked. There’s a whole science behind this and my educated guess is that they dry brine the wings first and double fry them. If you don’t know what dry brining is, it’s a total game changer when it comes to cooking poultry, specifically cuts of meat that have a lot moisture. In other words, a lot of love went Into these wings before you order them. Also they weren’t huge steroid hunks of meat that try to take your teeth out of your gums while you attempt to bite. There’s levels to this and I am very passionate about them. Money well spent.
Service was great! Drinks were still just as good and the tap selection is diverse but short.
Thanks again, until next time!
(2021)Luna has a very unique looking atmosphere. Right behind the Savoy Inn you’ll find lunas. Plenty of seating outdoor in the sun or under their patio by the bar. The place is very clean and to my understanding every Monday they power wash the floors, the bathrooms are clean, the tables and food are clean. You can really feel relaxed here. Their drinks are pretty good from the mules to margaritas! The food was probably my favorite part about this place, it’s really good bar food that doesn’t just taste like a grease fest. I had their cheesesteak egg rolls, they are the definition of bussin’. I also had their voodoo burger, and it’s easily my top five favorite if not the best burger I’ve eaten period. If you’re looking for a good spot to chill with your buddies or a nice restaurant for a date....
Read moreFood was great, but staff was horrible. We had two people come to take our drink order. The lady, unfortunately I forgot her name, was very rude. I ordered an alcoholic drink and when I showed her my state ID she said it could not be accepted, even though it's a state issued ID and it says "for identification purposes only", which just means it can't be used as a license. It also says that it is not a "real ID", which means it is not a real ID version. Long story short, it is a legit ID and she wouldn't take it. She said the manager and owner both said it can't be used either so I asked her to speak with one of them so I can prove to them it's valid and educate them on what it means by "real ID". The manager and owner never came over, eve though the manager was just walking around. The waitress came back and asked me of my ID again after 45 mins., and then came back with it, set it on the table, and walked away. Never said anything to me so when she walked by again, I asked her why she needed my ID a second time, so she rudely said that she was coming right back to take my drink order, but then she walked away again. The other waiter that came over to our table, Anthony, came over and ended up taking my drink order. The waitress came back and rudely asked me "what I want", so I told her it was taken care of already. She started giving us an attitude about everything, so we finally told her we would just rather have Anthony as our waiter. She was being rude because she was mad that I was right about the situation with my ID. Anthony came back with our appetizers, and we asked him to please keep the waitress away from our table. He did and he was a great waiter. I'm disappointed that neither the manager or owner even took the time to come talk to me, but it's fine. I doubt I'll be returning there to dine-in, although the...
Read moreA few weeks ago, we celebrated my son's high school graduation by having a party at Luna's. The staff at Luna's from start to finish was awesome. They were very accommodating during the planning stages with a few things that I wanted to include at the party. Little details like matching linens to my son's school colors were no problem and made the tables look so nice. Luna's offers a few different party menus to pick from depending on what kind of food you would like to serve. The servers were fantastic and took great care of our guests. We received many compliments about the appetizers and delicious food. One thing that I love about Luna's is the atmosphere. I love dining outdoors with friends and family and wanted that kind of feel for the party. It was a great time and we are so glad that we decided to have our party there!
I also wanted to add that on Sunday we went to Luna's to try their South Jersey Seafood Boil. It was absolutely delicious! For the price of just $29.99, there was so much food. It included 1 pound of snow crabs, 5 shrimp, 5 clams, hot Italian sausage, corn that tasted AMAZING, garlic toast, and red skinned potatoes. We will definitely be back again for another Seafood Boil! I also tried their clams casino for the first time. There is another restaurant in Vineland that I swore made made the best clams casino. I think the ones at Luna's just might...
