Niki's Gyros — Restaurant in Buffalo Grove

Not great. This place is scattered with consistency in how food is prepped, and beyond annoying is the fact that there is a vegetarian pita on the menu but if you order it, you’ll be met with a confused look and then will wait as the person ringing you up tries to figure out how to put that into the order. It’s obvious this item was on their old menu or they don’t have it ordered enough. Either way- it’s not in their system so they’ll charge you for a grilled cheese and some extra items then explain to the kitchen what the fool of a customer who ordered an item off the menu wants. I’ve had this order over charged and also weirdly made- as was the case tonight when they just threw on anything from the kitchen that didn’t have meat in it. Finally got around to trying this venue this past March after wandering around Hawthorn Mall. When it comes to gyros in Buffalo Grove, I've heard that it's Dengeo's vs. Niki's.

We live pretty far north in the county up in Beach Park but the timing was right at the time being we were taking a slow ride down to O'Hare to pick up my stepdaughter for her spring break from college.

The Chicago/Greek grill boasts some great all around grub (especially the gyros) at fair prices, very friendly service and a spiffy clean dining room. The kid-friendly environment also has ice cream as well as slots for the big kids.

Another go-to venue for gyros and if ever in the area again, Niki's is a definite must. I wish for years & years of boomin' business to come for...

This is the old Tasty Spin location and owners. And they are truly like Cheers where everyone knows your name and they are glad you came.

They are always empty when I go here, but they have some of the best food for a hot dog/hamburger place around. Bill and Niki (owners) are the nicest people around and love to chat with their patrons.

Their burgers are fantastic, fries are great, hots wonderful, tamales are perfect (not dry), and everything else is wonderful as well.

This is just a great place for family, friends, groups, or even a party.
