My husband decided we needed something different than the same restaurants we always go to, so we drove over an hour to come here based on reviews he had read. I must admit he found a good one. The prices were awesome for the amount of food you get. We went during Lent, so they had a fish dinner that was to die for. $15, and I made 2 meals out of it, they're was so much. My husband tried the pick 3 meats, fried chicken, ribs, and pulled chicken - they were all fabulous as well. We also had the BBQ pulled pork stuffed potato skins. These were no skinny potato skins, practically 3 baked potatoes, they were huge. We would definitely go again and highly recommend it.

This place is much bigger than it looks from the road. The food was fantastic and they have a lot to choice from. The overall feel of the place was very country and very pleasing to my family. The wait staff was younger but they were very pleasant and helpful. The smoked meat was really good especially the turkey and pork belly. The sauces I didn’t care for too much but the meat was so juicy and tender that you really didn’t need sauce to make the meal complete. This would be a great place to host a party or event as it’s really large and has a lot of seating

My recent visit to Smokin' Toad's BBQ presented some challenges. While the establishment had a certain ambiance, the floors were noticeably sticky, which detracted from the overall experience. The BBQ itself was terrible and tasted overwhelmingly like ketchup, despite appearing well-done. If a zero-star rating were possible, it would more accurately reflect my disappointment with the meal. I had anticipated a more authentic and traditional BBQ flavor.

First time here. We wanted to like this place. The inside decor was very nice. Floors were dirty. There were only 3 tables seated in the whole restaurant at 6:00 on a Saturday night and the server was polite but not super attentive. We all sat with empty drink glasses for 15 minutes. Food took somewhere around 45 to 50 minutes to come out. The meats we were served tasted not fresh like they were sitting for a long time or were reheated. Either our order sat in the back for a long time or the food was sitting out and not held to proper holding temperature. BBQ sauce no one liked, tasted like it was half BBQ and half tomato paste. Mac and cheese was homemade and was good. Brisket was dark brown, old, unseasoned, lean, tasteless. The peel to eat shrimp had the most flavor out of all the food. Served swimming on a hot plate of liquid with seasoning sunk to the bottom. One other in our party got the pulled pork and said he liked it but not the sauce. We might give it another shot, but not what we hoped for. They charge a fee to customers to use cards here. The pricing was appropriate for the portions and the place has potential, just needs more attention primarily to the food and they'd probably have a better crowd and people would want...

Wednesday 07/10/2024 1:00P.M. Wife and I stopped by. She loves their Fried Chicken. We have stopped here a number of times over the years. I personally never cared for the place. My opinion: Dank and Dirty. Barbecue (all types) C- at best. This proved out once again today. Wife wanted Fried Chicken and since I hadn't gone with her for awhile, I decided to go. "MISTAKE"! The area of the first table we sat at had a stench that was unbearable. It literally smelled as if they were Smokin' Live Toads in the dining room. We moved. The other side of the wall had a diminished odor, but bearable. Wife ordered Fried Chicken Entree. Requested "ALL" White Meat. She received the regular order of mixed Dark and White. Told the Server and nonchalantly she said I will take money off of your tab. What about replacing the pieces? We could care less about a discount and more about getting what we ordered. I ordered Brisket Philly Cheese Steak. Good Smoke, but as dry as the parched Earth. Look around....The floor was covered in filth, crumbs and paper. It appeared to not have been cleaned all summer. ATTENTION: Butler County Health Department...this needs fixed or closed. Dank, Dirty and Disgusting! "Our...

i’ve tried smokin toads on two occasions. once for dine in, and once for takeout. the one thing i’ll rave about is the fried pickles. they’re yummy, the cajun ranch is runny. the dine in experience was okay -the young waitress had better things to do then serve the party of 3 and had her airpods in while she was waiting on us. the mac and cheese was very bland with little flavour. i wanted the porkmac, but they were out of pork so the waitress told me they could do chicken. i assumed it would be pulled chicken, but it came out with a whole thigh of chicken. very unappealing and i was upset i had to fight for my chicken on my mac and cheese. we decided to give them another shot, but for takeout this time. the pickles were good as before. we got the taco, taco, taco and the tortilla was completely wet and soggy. we also tried to order the mini hog but they were out of that. we had to settle for the bbq brisket philly and found about 3-4 bones while eating the sandwhich. the same young waitress as before was hosting for my pickup order, and i had to call the phone after standing in the lobby for 5 minutes to tell her i was there. needless to say we won’t...
