It started out promising. We ordered two burgers, chicken strips and cheese sticks. We never asked for the cheese sticks first. We came in at 530pm, not many people here. After 30 minutes the cheese sticks randomly come to the table so we are thinking the other food is coming. An hour later, still no food. Tables that came in after us got their food and left. I go up to the bar to just pay for the drinks and cheese sticks and the bartender or whatever she is, was full of excuses. Full on blaming the kitchen when the poor teenager had nothing to do with it. Then after I confronted her she admitted after she put the cheese sticks in she forgot to ring our food in. When I insisted on just paying for what had come to our table she ran away from me and comes back with oh she’s playing it. We had been there almost 2 hours. That’s insane. Then she finally brings the food and has nothing but more blame for the kitchen and when I called her out on it then she turned too “well we are busy”. Is that how every table after us got their food first and left?? Because you were so busy?? Lady shouldn’t be left alone if she can’t handle bartending for a place...

Rolled into Buffalo, WY yesterday evening just before the snow arrival that kept me in place for an extra day. I was staying just up the road from The Cowboy Bar and Grill a place I decided to go to after researching for the best local burger in Buffalo. I decided to order “to go” because of my travel partner ~ Shyla. I found this to be a very friendly place for locals and “passer throughs” like me. Pleasant staff and a fun place to look around while waiting for the order. After declining a tempting beverage. I was served a “shot” of iced water and a smile while I waited. Got back to my room and opened the “to go” box. Inside were handcut fries and pickles beside a juicy swiss and mushroom burger. One bite in and I was glad I walked into the Cowboy Bar and Grill. Absolutely delicious and well prepared! If you are yearning for a burger, this is...

We stumbled upon this bar and grill on the way to check out lake Healy. I was glad we did. There were a ton of cars outside so we thought it was going to be packed and slow service. It was pretty busy inside but the service was awesome. We've had some bad experiences earlier in our trip so it was refreshing to have great servers and staff. They were prompt and getting drinks and taking our order. We did not wait long for our food after placing the ordered and the burgers were tasty. We got the jalapeño burger and it was nice sized and good flavor. Jalapeños not too hot tho, nut the fries were well seasoned and crispy. The atmosphere was pleasant and the variety of sports on all the tvs were a huge plus. Price was good for thee food and service. I'd go...

Gail (spouse) and I are traveling for 15 days. On our way to Deadwood, SD, from Yellowstone, we were trying to decide a place to eat in Buffalo, WY. Gail conducted a search for restaurants in the vicinity of our overnight stay. She picked the Cowboy Bar and Grill. This bar, which serves great food, is a hidden gem! I ordered a Vaquero Burger, and Gail ordered a BLT. Both meals are portioned generously and made from high-quality ingredients, including the Applewood thick-cut bacon and succulent beef. The atmosphere of the bar transports you back to cowboy memories of your childhood (and perhaps your adulthood). Lastly, Kayla, our bartender, provided a friendly welcome as soon as we walked in. She was extremely attentive and provided exceptional service!

The staff was incredibly pleasant! We were passing through and traveling with our dog. They were more than happy to let us eat on their patio with our dog and even brought him some water. The service was a bit slow since it seemed as though they only had one server but the food came out very fast and extremely hot! Like it seriously went from grill to plate to table. At one point I saw the server literally run to try and hurry up the service. All the while she was extremely happy, pleasant, and committed to providing the best service possible. If passing through again, I will definitely stop by for another meal. I had the vaquero burger (without the BBQ sauce).

My buddy and I were on a cross country motorcycle trip. We had no intention of stopping. The closed road gave us no choice but to stop somewhere. Are we glad it was here. We were greeted by a very friendly employee. The beer we ordered was ice cold, the burgers cooking smelled devine. We both ordered burgers and it was the best decision we made all day. Both of us have traveled extensively. And we both agreed it was one of the best burgers ever. We were treated so well by the staff and owners, we are planning our next trip with a stay in Buffalo WY. We will of course stop here and have another burger.
