We were sat in a booth. My husband, myself and our daughter. Our waitress didn't come over to us until about 15 min after getting seated. We got our drinks and ordered our food. During this time, a group of 3 ladies were sat and got their drinks AND food before us. I ordered the Milly philly and my husband and daughter for the special which was steak, shrimp and a side. My husband ordered his medium rare. It was burnt and cooked all the way through to the point he couldn't eat it. My sandwich was so salty and every bite I took I had to spit out hard chunks of meat. My daughter's food was perfect! Our waitress came over AFTER bringing those 3 ladies their bills and they left. My husband showed her the steak and she offered to make another one. He said no, but she said she could and he could take it home. He agreed to that. We asked for a box for my daughters leftovers and she brought 2 out for my daughter's food and my husband's steak. The new steak she brought out was perfect. She left the bill with us and said she would be back. She never came back. We had to go up to the bar to pay. When we got outside my husband and I were discussing our visit. I said that it was understandable when we first got there, because they were super busy. While we were there, tables were emptying left and right. I couldn't understand why everything took so long. My husband informed me that he could see our waitress constantly with the cooks. I used to come there back in the day with my family. I hadn't been there for years. What happened to that place? We will not be returning there. Please take this all into consideration. I'm not trying to be rude, but everything was very...
Read moreCan run a little busy Fri and Sat nights, but a good pit stop in Buffalo nonetheless. Pull tabs, some pretty decent sandwiches and tavern fare.
Update 1/19/24: So the food is still pretty decent, however they need to work on customer service. Showing up for dinner at 8:13 p.m. on a Thursday, party of five, on the Mill Creek website it says open until 10 p.m. We walk in, and the older lady (without greeting us BTW) behind the bar immediately looks at the clock, to the point I asked "are you still serving?" She gives me a pitiful stare, and says "for another 30 minutes." So that would be until 8:45 p.m. I never get treated like that at Warren's, but here at Mill Creek it seems to always be a condescending tone. This is not the first time this has happened to us. The waitress was OK, but nothing to write home about. We pushed through dinner, slammed our drinks and felt like we needed to go. Clearly the staff is looking to cut out early. We live not even a few blocks from the restaurant, we spend hundreds a week on eating out. But I can't say I'll patronize Mill Creek again until they make an attitude change. If the website says 10 p.m., that should be your hours - if not, change the site or find employees willing to stay until proper closing. I understand hiring can be difficult, but maybe take a look at how your employees greet customers and reiterate that you need them to always be happy and upbeat. I wonder how Mill Creek ownership feels about losing a whole hour of food service during legitimate bar/restaurant hours, simply because the employees have...
Read moreThe food was somewhat decent, but the service was just horrendous. Would’ve liked our server to inform us that it was BOGO night?… instead of just bringing our drinks to the table & dropping them off without an explanation. I probably wouldn’t have ordered a margarita if that was the case, due to the steep alcohol content. The server came to our table twice (food and drink orders) her third time was to take our credit card & had never checked in on us when we got our food. Mahi Tacos were bland and the tortillas were too thick (not even sure why the tacos were made of 2 tortillas? Because of this reason), she also never asked us how we wanted our appetizer of steak bites cooked or my friends burger. Both of which were hockey pucks & could be thrown on The Wild’s rink for their home opener. She was miserable with no personality and paid more attention to tables with either bigger party sizes and/or full of men or patrons closer to her age. Embarrassingly awful. Just a big “WHY?!” If you’ve been serving for over 20+ years, why is this even an excuse? You know that saying, “Don’t quit your day job”… well,...
