. . . Where do I begin? Over the past two years or so, service at this location has gotten increasingly WORSE to the point where back in April of this year (2014) I decided to permanently discontinue my business at this location. It seems that with almost every single visit, nothing was ever 100% as it should be, orders were never correct, etc;
I would order a Cherry Limeade and instead get a big, ice cold cup of "pink Alka-Seltzer". No flavoring, no sugar, no nothing! Other times, I would find myself waiting over/more than ten minutes for very simple orders, and would even offer to pull/come through the actual drive-thru if bringing food out to my car would be too much of a "challenge." Such should NEVER be the case. On one incident in particular, I remember having a (male) car hop bring my food/order out to my vehicle with "thick black stuff" underneath his fingernails.
. . . Talk about "unappetizing". I don't want someone who doesn't have clean hands/nails handling my food. So, issues of cleanliness and hygiene.
The straw that broke the camel's back was in April 2014, I had come to this location to order some things off the Dollar Menu - nothing major! I can remember there being only two cars in the parking lot - mine and another customer's and perhaps one other car in the drive-thru. I ended up having to wait 15+ minutes for two (2) Jr. Deluxe hamburgers and two (2) large drinks. Steadily losing patience by the second, I got back on the speaker and informed the shift manager "what I'd been waiting on" and "how long I'd been waiting." She abruptly cut me off mid-sentence with, "It's on its way out . . . " "On its way out" doesn't cut it when I've been sitting in the parking lot waiting for damn near 20 minutes.
. . . A customer's time is valuable and it's called "FAST FOOD" for a reason. I'm not exactly sure if this location is not/never adequately staffed rendering them constantly short-handed, or the staff that they DO have is improperly trained. I do know, however, that the community and general public deserves much better than the poor service it has received from this restaurant. Judging from the other reviews/ratings I see, I'm clearly not alone in my...
Read moreDidn't want to make my milk shakes because they were "too busy". Pulled in at 8:45 PM on Tuesday evening to get two milk shakes. I was about to press the order button, when a car hop walked past my truck on her way to deliver another customer's food and asked, " You ain't about to order are you?"...the disgust apparent in her voice. I checked the time on my clock to make sure they weren't about to close and then said, "Yes I was". The car hop responded, "God I wish you wouldn't, there are only 5 of us here and we are too busy, its gonna take a long time to get your order out." (There were nine cars plus mine at the time by the way). I responded, "Fine, I'll go to Dairy Queen, they actually want my business. The car hop then said, "OK, F@%& You then". I pealed out of the parking lot (stupidly so) and promptly got pulled over. The officer was kind and let me go with a warning while lamenting that he and his partner go to the location on Hwy 69, because the service is so bad at this location. I tried to call the store to speak to a manager and did not get an answer or answering machine...just a dead line after 10 rings. On the 5th call I did get hold of a manager (pleasant sounding young lady). She listened to my complaint, then asked what the employees name was...which I of course did not have. She responded that if I did not have the employees name there was nothing she could do and hung up. No apology, no please come back and try us again, no nothing. How can I find out who owns this location? They need to know what is happening at their franchise. I have no problems like this at any other Sonic in the Tyler area, but I may not go back to any Sonic after this. I';ve never been treated like this at any fast food, full service, or even food truck. Inexcusable! All I wanted was two milk shakes and instead was told they were too busy to take my order and then cussed at me when I said I was going...
Read moreWell after calling five times I was finally able to reach someone. I then told them that I had been at their establishment the previous day and that I believed I had left my debit card. I was then told that they couldn't help me right now and to call back regarding this at a later time. Being that I live over two hours away and that it is my bank card I feel like this is something they could have taken the time to address for me when I called the first/fifth time. Its also the week of Christmas and like many of you I'm still having to pick up last minutes items. Not having my bank card is frustrating and a little understanding for the situation would of been appreciated especially since the attendant failed to return it to me in the drive-thru. When I called back they proceeded to tell me no one had left a card "today" and I said that it was the previous day. With a huff they then said they'd have to look for it. After a bit they then made me recite my entire order from the day before in their attempts of verifying my identity instead of asking me my name. I really feel like the establishment needs to have an overall attitude adjustment when dealing with their customers.
I will say the food was fine. Myself and children were satisfied with it but, at this rate we might as well have robots preparing our food because human relations are seriously lacking at this...
