How fortunate it was to find this gem of an establishment so close to home! We decided to kill a couple hours on a Saturday afternoon and try to find this place (after googling "Wineries near me"). The location is very easy to get to only being a couple miles off of 281 and going down Spring Branch Road for a brief drive.
We were warmly welcomed as soon as we walked in and were given options on where we could sit to be most comfortable. The main bar area is beautiful and comfortable. The staff and owner were on hand to ensure that we took advantage of all they had to offer. We did a tasting of their amazing wines and then were treated to a tour of the grounds by the owner herself. What a wonderful woman!!!!
coming back inside we had a delightful charcuterie board. We finished our Rose' and realized that is was 5:30pm (Closing time is a 5:00PM). We spoke to the staff about the various events they put on, everything from live music to candle making and sip and paint nights. This establishment and all the beautiful people that work there will make regulars out of us. On the way home we decided that the next trip there, we'll join their wine club!
I can't wait to go back!
Update.
Return visit last weekend. Still fantastic place with good wine and friendly people. I can't...
Read moreFirst impressions: The wine tasting experience as well as the atmosphere here was somewhat relaxing and the wines that I sampled were good. I liked the presentation of the wine and the servers were friendly, displayed great customer service skills, and gave me great pointers about each wine. For the things that could be improved, I think the water should have been included with the wine tasting. I also think that the charcuterie boards (meat, cheese, fruit, etc. platter) should have been presented better. The food prep container was too small for the contents that were placed inside. Something disposable and flat would have been a better option. Presentation is everything when it comes to food. I honestly felt that I didn't get my money's worth for that item. Lastly, the owner was very short and brief with me and my husband but with other customers her behavior was more inviting and friendly. Definitely made us feel uncomfortable being that we were the first customers there. The only saving grace from a 1 star was that the servers compensated for her lack of engagement with us (and most of the wines that we sampled were...
Read moreThe staff is wonderful!! Really nice folks. The wines are ... fine. I prefer a buttery oaky Chard but most everyone has a crisp one. This is crisp but nice fruity flavor. Reds need a bit more time and tweaking. A bit thin on the Cab, not enough fruit on the Merlot. Petite Shirah had good body but needs a bit more time. Nice outdoor seating for spring but not enough shade for summer. Gonna get real hot. They're building so hopefully that will take care of the shade problem. No indoor floor space available. I'd check it out again next year. Always willing to see how...
