Cute place! Delicious sandwiches! Very friendly staff. If you're coming from the south Google maps tells you that you have to pass the location and make a u-turn which is not true. There is a left turning lane and you can turn straight into the parking lot. There were plenty of open parking spaces when I went on a Friday at 11:00 a.m. The tables inside seat between two to four people, but you could move them together for a larger group. Grab a menu on the left near the counter and then place your order at the counter when you are ready. Lots of drink options to purchase. Water and cups can be found on both sides of the restaurant. Restrooms on the left. The pastries looked delicious but I didn't try any this time. On the day I went they had cranberry orange scones, cinnamon rolls, banana chocolate chip muffins, an apple puff pastry, and a couple others. I shared the focaccia BLTA and the chicken salad sandwich. Both were substantial sandwiches. The chicken salad tasted light and fresh. The jalapeno mayo on the BLTA was just spicy enough and gave the sandwich a great flavor. Also loved that it was on Focaccia and the bacon was nice and crispy. Make sure to ask them to cut it in half for you. The sandwiches come with chips or a side salad. I'll definitely be back!
Back for more! Delicious cinnamon roll. Ask them to heat it up for you. The outside is a little biscuit like but the inside is soft. Also had grilled cheese and homemade tomato soup which was a...
Read moreThis is a charming spot for breakfast and brunch. The café offers a nice atmosphere, complete with indoor seating and a patio that overlooks a golf course.
The menu includes breakfast croissants, sandwiches, and pastries. Personally, my meal was far below expectations. I ordered the Chilaquiles with red sauce and was very disappointed; the tortilla chips were literally from a bag of corn chips bought at a grocery store - not even actual tortillas cut into pieces; the refried beans were out of can and simply reheated; the sauce didn't seem to be freshly made and it had a certain taste that only comes from pre-packaged ingredients. Overall, the dish was not good at all.
On the bright side, the almond croissant is tasty with great flavor and freshness. But they sold out of Matcha, so I was a bit upset that I couldn't enjoy a drink with my almond croissant.
Service is decent, with staff members being friendly, but lack motivation. But maybe I visited when they were having a bad morning. The café operates on a counter-service model, where customers place orders at the counter, and the food is brought to their tables. This setup contributes to a relaxed and unpretentious dining experience.
Laurel Café offers a pleasant ambiance. while not extraordinary, it provides satisfying options for a casual meal. It's a good spot for a easy and quick meal, however, set your...
Read moreI was house-sitting/babysitting in the area when my daughter chose this place because it was the closest to us, and we had hungry kids. I loved the charming small-town cafĂ© aesthetic and dĂ©cor. The staff was friendly and efficient; someone even opened the door for us as we walked up to the restaurant. At this cafĂ©, you order at the counter, and they deliver the food to your table. Menus are available while waiting in line, and thereâs a large menu displayed above the register. They offer delicious pastries; we tried the lemon blueberry muffin, sausage kolache, and croissant. If I lived closer, I would stop by just for the pastries alone. I ordered the yogurt bowl, which featured fresh fruit and silky smooth yogurt sweetened with just the right amount of honey. I wish the portion size had been a little larger, but since I also had the muffin, I was quite full. My daughter ordered the enchilada plate, and she found it disappointingâthe cheese was chewy, and the green sauce was watery and unappetizing. The kids I was babysitting each had the Kids' breakfast, which came with eggs, a pancake, and some fruit. The portion size was perfect, and they finished every bite. They also expressed a desire to return. I would rate the coffee a 4 out of 10, but take that with a grain of salt since Iâm quite particular about my coffee. If I find myself in the area again, I will...
