I really dislike making reviews like this. I wish we would have had as good of an experience as other reviews and that convinced us to drive 35 miles give it a try just to be extremely disappointed. I have over 40 years in the restaurant industry from dishwasher to ownership so I offer these reviews with great understanding and knowledge of the industry. It started like normal, they only had a couple tables and were not busy at all. We were greeted seated and brought a coffee and water but then 30 minutes later and a empty cup sitting there in front of us we got up and asked for our food to go. The server that totally ignored us though only about 15 feet away the entire time talking with what looked to be local friends was apologetic saying the cook was new and had a large Togo she was struggling with (3) orders, I seen them getting bagged. Well "the cook" was a young girl who looked like she was dressed to go get ice cream and head to the beach and not working a lunch shift at a diner. On the menu it states the sausage gravy is "Homemade" when in fact it was what I believe to be Chef mate which is a canned Gordon's foods product with very little "sausage" and the biscuits were a just add water boxed mix granted it was a big biscuit but it was cold and very dry even with the copious amount of NOT from SCRATCH gravy. My wife ordered "The hoagie" once again on the menu it stated Ribeye piled high with mushrooms onions cheese!! The actual sandwich was far from the description. Dry burnt and maybe there were 2 pieces of canned mushroom on a 6" dried out and stale bun. Good thing we keep some ketchup in the center console because it was barely edible before she added a couple packs as there was no sauce of any kind on it. All that being said and as mentioned my past experience I feel the lack of or presence of the OWNER or QUALIFIED manager to maintain quality control and insure guest satisfaction might be the biggest issue here as I didn't notice anyone that might fit that position. And for over $30 there was absolutely no value to this meal.

Finally taking the time to stop by and enjoy breakfast. Located in small town. Can't miss it. Food was absolutely delicious and the portions were more than enough to satisfy your belly.

The Village Grille had room for nine of us at a long table. They have booths and some diner stools at the counter. The food was good and the service was fast.

Lisa's Grille was an okay place to grab breakfast on our way through town, but they seemed to really struggle to keep up and cook up enough food in a timely fashion when we, as a party of 20 or so people, walked in and took every last remaining seat in the already crowded restaurant. They did what they could to take care of us, but it was pretty evident from the missing items, uncooked/cold hash browns, and delayed delivery of food that this place was simply unprepared to handle a full house well. You might have a better experience if they aren't overly busy when you give them a shot! I hope this review...

Wonderful breakfast offerings I love the southern scramble or omelette and buck burger a great burger on homemade bread with plenty of food for two if your not used to a burger that size you might want to share one it’s a great value in my opinion compared to some of the chain restaurants! I’ve been thinking about going every day for a porkers omelette or southern scramble with gravy and a buck burger I might get some wings sometimes . Delicious food in a small hometown friendly atmosphere...
