If you like finding hidden treasures, here's one for you...
If Guy Fieri was still doing "drive ins diners and dives" this one would be worthy.
So let's start with the owners. Family run. Very sweet family... We met almost everyone in our dining experience and they were all amazing!
Don't let your first impressions as you pull into the parking lot Stop you... Go in sit down and thoroughly enjoy yourselves as we did..
Since we live in the area, my first question was... Wasn't this a storage unit just a little bit ago...
Then we went inside sat down. My wife commented. How cool the glass was that our drinks were in... And then she commented how cool the plates were. She's never done that before but really liked the authenticity...
They explained the menu. Everything sounded wonderful and at the first bite of both of our food we knew this was authentic Mexican food.. the family abuela is the chef, daughters and other family helping run this ... All very involved in the community, teachers, coaches, Etc...
Love it! Love it! Love it! Cannot recommend it more highly
But going back to just the meal... My favorite food in the world is Mexican food and I've tried 20 or 30 within an hour of us... This is where we will be eating Mexican food most of the time from this...
Read moreWe recently visited Arriero del Camino Mexican Restaurant and were really impressed with the food. We tried the machete, torta, birria tacos, and crazy fries — all were flavorful, well-prepared, and clearly made with care. The homemade corn and flour tortillas were a standout, and the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming.
There are a few areas for improvement. The decor feels pretty dated, and the large empty space inside could definitely benefit from more seating or a warmer layout. Accessibility is also an issue — the restrooms and parking lot are not wheelchair friendly.
One other consideration is the price. For three people, ordering three meals, one appetizer, and drinks, we spent around $125 after tip, which felt a bit steep for a casual dining experience.
That said, the food was genuinely great, and the service was just as good. With a few tweaks, this place could be even better. It's worth a visit if you’re looking for authentic, flavorful...

The salsa, however, could use some improvement. As a Mexican, I believe salsa is the heart of a good taco, and this one didn’t quite hit the mark.
The mole was beautifully presented and had good flavor, but it could benefit from a bit more spice to really bring it to life. The menudo was our least favorite — it had a strong anise flavor that didn’t work for us. Spent 65 on everything.
Overall, if you’re thinking of trying this place, definitely go for the tacos. We’ll be coming back – not just for the food, but also because the staff was...
