Doc's Pub Irish Sports Bar — Restaurant in Burlington

This is my go to place for a drink or something to eat. Amazing food from this little place. Some of the best local people you'll find in the area.

12/4/2024 Okay this is an update, I haven't been to docs in a long time and the menu is okay, not anything like it used to be, it's sad because I used to love some of the items like the grilled chicken sandwich they used to have. But all things come to an end. As the place goes they did replace some ceiling fans, but they got broken before when people fought at the bar, however it was just an older crowd now it made me feel like I'm old.

Sadly I don't drink anymore so I cannot say much about this, but they did change the tables on the side that you would have dinner at to high tops. Besides that it feels very consistent to what it was like when I used to come here all the time.

Nevertheless, I see it for me as a place I have outgrown, it might be a wonderful bar for the night life, but not that great for dinner. Yes I must have...

Went to Doc's a couple weeks ago with my husband & had a great time, good food, good drinks. We went back 1 week later and ordered the same exact drinks, same number of drinks, same food, and some how in 1 week our bill literally doubled. They did not honor the $10 wings on Sundays, like the chalk board 4ft from us was advertising. & when questioning why our drinks were so expensive we were told "Oh because I was making you doubles" we NEVER asked for doubles (nor do I think there was double the amount of alcohol in them) plus they were the same size drinks as the ones we got the week prior for half the price. We were told that they weren't able to see "what the problem was" and didn't know what we wanted them to do to fix it... Sadly that was our last time there, as we can't trust how much we will be charged each time we go. Feel like we completely got taken...

(Read whole thing the important part, $ related, is at the end) Food was pretty darn good. Servers/bartenders were great, very personable. Place was clean and well set up. Good music playing. So you might be wondering why I gave one star. The owner/manager/chef forced the bartender to add cost to my sandwich for adding lettuce, tomato, and, pickle without telling me. The tomato was forgotten. Finally, the kicker, you cang trust the prices in the menu! When my check came my sandwich base cost was $2 more than what the menu said! The bartender told me that the prices changed a while ago and she has told the owner/manager/chef that menus needed changed repeatedly and they still haven't been!
