Goodness. Where do I begin. I've been searching for what seems like years for a quality, local pizza place and I've finally found it. We ordered an Extra Large pepperoni pizza with Pepperoncini peppers and a side of breadsticks. Now, from the other reviews i saw "bland", "no seasoning on breadsticks", and "too greasy", but let me put you all on. There was such little grease on my pizza, for a brief moment I was bamboozled. I had gone into this expecting a greasy pie, but to my gleeful dismay, it was a perfectly baked pizza. The peppers were fresh, the pepperoni wasnt dripping grease, the cheese was of high quality and the sauce was the perfect quantity. On to the breadsticks. I didnt expect much out of the breadsticks, as they were supplementary to the pizza. Again, completely blown away by the fluffy bread, exceptional seasoning, and dipping sauce provided.
As far as price? You will not, and I mean WILL NOT find a better pizza in this county for less. 14.99 for a pizza that fed me and my girlfriend for 3 meals?
Punctuality? I placed my order online, and upon paying, I was told it would be 20-25 minutes to pickup and carryout. To the minute my pizza was piping hot and ready for transit.
To conclude this review, I genuinely hope you will give Mimi's your pizza business. I would say "if you're in the area", but I'm no where near them and they will have my Pizza business for decades to come. Cannot possibly recommend these kind...
Read moreUpdating the review. As I said I do not mind errors but how one responds to those errors is important. The owner of Mimi's called me, apologized, and made the interaction right. He found out why my ravioli came out like it did and fixed the issue. I do trust Mimi's to take care of the customer and to deliver quality food & service.
We were told by friends that this place was great and when we ordered and picked up they were kind and engaging, BUT I ordered 70 bucks worth of food, we were having a family game night and one of my sons ordered a Caesar salad. I picked up the order and when we got home it was not there. I called and they said I could drive back and get it or on my next visit (Very Presumptuous) they would give me a free salad. They could not or would not credit my card. I ordered baked ravioli. when I opened it looked like soup and one has to swish around the pan trying to find the ravioli. One of my sons actually called it ravioli soup. The flavor was meh. SO I pay for something, drive to pick it up, its not in the order and you make the assumption , "He'll be back" and then I am supposed to tell you this story. look up my details and see if my free salad is there? I don't mind errors, but how you respond to them determines if we are coming back and Mimi's we are not coming back. Your policies or practices should benefit the customer. This did not and the ravioli...
Read moreUpdated post (4 stars): The owner, Jimmy, called after seeing my original post, and offered to correct the problem. It was a positive conversation, it and was refreshing to hear an owner sound genuinely concerned about service & express that that was below his standards. He offered to replace the order, and we took him up on it a few weeks later.
MUCH BETTER order. Everything was baked well. The toppings tasted fresh. Not a hint of a burn. The interaction with Jimmy upon picking up the order is something that will stand out in my memory - a guy who strikes me as honest, humble, and passionate about his business.
Mimi's is on the very short list of three places we'll order pizza from in the area.
Original Post (2 stars) We've ordered from Mimi's twice, and, unfortunately, we've been disappointed twice. The first time, we paid for a chicken Caesar salad only to discover that they had forgotten the chicken when we got home. They offered a store credit. So, I figured, "Hey, honest mistakes happen. We'll give it another try."
The second time, we ordered three XL pizzas, and they overcooked/burned all three of them. The cheese was brown-ish and the crust carried the taste of burn reminiscent of what happens when you burn toast and try to eat it anyway.
We tried, but we won't be ordering from here again. It hasn't been...
