Tally Ho Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Burtchville Township

We stopped in for lunch on Tuesday, August 11th, 2020. Tally Ho was on my list of places to try on our Lake Huron Michigan vacation this month. In fact, I gave them a call the previous Saturday evening to make sure they would be open for dine-in lunch next Tuesday. They were easy to find, right on Lakeshore Road, on the left I mean.

The parking lot was pretty packed at 1- 1.30 pm. Inside, the staff greeted me and I took a seat at the bar. I asked for a draft beer and since it was Tuesday they offered fish tacos. I ordered one. I chose the perch over the cod. Meanwhile, I became engaged conversing with a couple of regulars. They were curious about me, being a stranger. So we chatting awhile, super friendly. I enjoyed the Karaoke Night last night for the first part of the evening. Wasn't going to get up and sing myself at first. I just sat with my beer and sang along with the music. The owner (Mrs) said that's why the words were up there, so that we could sing along with them if we pleased. Then I was Challenged by this guy who was up trying to sing. He wasn't doing a very good job, and he decided to take it out on me. With a menacing scowl on his face he ordered me to not sing. I was complaining about being treated so shamefully, when the other owner (Mr) decided to accuse me and another patron whom I was sharing my Complaint with, of Arguing and Causing Problems. Tally Ho then changed their stance on allowing me to sing, and Supported the menacing scowl ordering me to Shut the F up. Tally Ho is not a safe place to visit. Do Not Go...

Service was okay. Food was okay. If I was stopping in for a beer and a burger I probably would have been happier, but as a sit down for dinner with family not the greatest. Went in on a Friday night with a table of six. We were sat right away. Not really kid friendly. Our server forgot a few things even after asking twice. Food was nothing special. I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap sub grilled chicken for deep fried and there was no buffalo sauce on it, which was a disappointment.
