Barb's State Line Restaurant — Restaurant in Butler District

Travel nurse from out of state looking for a quick bite but quickly changed my mind after seeing the rundown bathroom. There’s a moldy towel, soaking up spillage from the broken pipe behind the toilet. Toilet paper dispenser is broken and unfilled. The soap dispenser has a dirty tore up sign on it. Bathrooms are usually a good indicator of what the kitchen looks like. As I’m walking out, the old female serving was very rude and said I missed the sign on the door. I just kindly responded, “Oh OK thank you”. She then proceeds to say “You’re not welcome”. 🤣 I wasn’t going to tell her why I changed my mind on eating at her establishment. She’d prob just continue to act ignorant and have a moment. The girl needs to be reminded with her big old age that she’s closer to Jesus and God does not like ugly. Please be kind to your out-of-state patrons because we don’t know what we’re walking...

Went on a Sunday like the wife and I usually do EVERY Sunday. Noticed that quality has been going down a good bit at this establishment. 2 Sundays ago we found out that “If you order hash browns the owner will refuse to make them because she burns them.” Which was nice of the waitress to mention this before ordering but still it’s the concept. Last week, service was able to keep up. This week we notice a party of 6 in the back room. We sat for 20 mins before one of the waitresses comes up to tell us that they are not taking anymore orders and the restaurant doesn’t close until 2pm. Being a regular customer every Sunday. Trying to support the small businesses in the area is a goal. How are you supposed to do so when your business gets turned away? Will not be visiting...

I couldn't believe it: this tastes just like my Grandma's!

It was wonderful. It'd be nice to have my grandma's home made rolls and butter again, thinking back on it. Maybe add yellow onions, celery and rice. ANYHOW, It was WONDERFUL ! The fish on friday was great too!

The only thing missing was grandma's kitchen table. I love the giant plastic cups; like being in my teens again ! I would have laughed if they were in the 1970's colors....

This is my new favorite place.
