My Mother in Law gave us $100 gift cards here every Christmas. We had 4 of them to use. The food there is okay, but the Villa in Cadogan, PA tops it hands down. I bought 3 lasagna meals, no leftovers with these portions - 4-5" square of lasagna (more for meat sauce), a small garden salad and they give you a couple of slices of bread with each meal. I also bought a plain cheeseburger and fries. The bill was $90. My 20 year old son said he could not eat the fries because they smelled and tasted horrible. Of course he asked if I wanted to try. I told him - no thanks. My daughter actually got sick from her lasagna. I was fine though and I had lasagna. I know spaghetti sauce can do that sometimes. So, I had 2 one hundred dollar gift cards left. I gave her one of them that had a receipt wrapped around it, but I left that in the car. I told her, I would pay the balance with the other one. She swiped the first one and told me I was good and I had $9 and change left on it. I asked her if she was sure because I believed I had already used that one. She told me all good. Then later that night around 9:30 PM, I get a call from the person closing the register that there was a problem with the gift card I used and the $9 and change was the amount that was left to use for this purchase, so I still owed $79+. I told her I questioned the person that checked me out. I asked if I could use my gift card that I had left to pay over the phone. She told me I could I told her to give me a minute to go to my car. She told me I could just call her back. I explained it would only be a minute she said good bye and hung up. She just misunderstood. I was able to use my gift card and I have $20 left now. I wrote it over the sticker on the back of the card. They offered an apology, I guess that is something - nothing extra because I had to wait 10 minutes longer, got bad fries, and was called at 9:30 PM. I will spend my $20 or I might give it away. The staff is all...
Read moreWent here with my boyfriend and daughter to have a nice Italian local meal it’s been hard to find something great around here. We went in stood waiting to be seated for about lengthy amount of time. No acknowledgement, we were seated very poorly at that waitress went over to table cleaned it off then waved us over all from the table. We were seated started our drink order didn’t fully take our order my boyfriend wanted a beer and a soda she got the beer order then instantly walked away, order a frozen margarita which was basically ALL alcohol couldn’t even drink it. Got the bread and butter (frozen butter and cold bread). Ordered our food took a very long time people that ordered after us with different waitresses got food before us, we finally got our food, our waitress puts it all down and quickly walked away, now at that time we were all out of drinks and I wanted parmigiana cheese for my pasta didn’t get a chance to even ask for anything else. Waited she never came back over so I ate my food. The whole meal which we ate slow so I could get cheese and drinks, she never came back to the floor so we were out of drinks the entire time we were eating our meal, so eventually we finished and holy smokes she came over and asked if we wanted dessert we then asked for refills and finally got them, we spent a good amount of money to have terrible service, the food wasn’t the best but the terrible service experience will be the reason we will not be back, mind you we saw all the other waitresses tending to their table the whole entire time they never once hit...
Read moreWe went on feb 15 . The place was dead. Absolutely noone inside the dinning room, probably because of the snow but when we said we didn't have a reservation we were seated by the wall in the back out of the way. We should of gotten up and left but decided to stick it out. I only came because I found they had cannolis online. That is very important to the story. We both got a soda. He ordered mushrooms... just don't, don't do it. They were slice mushrooms and peppers covered in cheese and sauce. Literally what you would use in a pasta sauce and barely cooked. Next we both ordered the Italian platters. The waitress brought out 3 small slices of Italian bread , that was fine. The food was horrible except the cheese stuffed shell. We both liked those. $22/ plate. A good idea would be to take the mushroom mix and add it to the sauce , cut up the store bought Italian sausage and mix that into the sauce and smoother the pasta In that instead of this monstrosity. Then for the finale the part I had been anticipating. I ordered 2 canollis to go. With chocolate chips...... THESE WERE NOT CANOLLIS!!! I took a bite in the parking lot. I swear they took cottage cheese, creamed it and stuffed it into a waffle. They were so bitter I gagged. I should of walked back inside as they were 5.50 each and absolutely horrid.
Our bill was $71 plus tip. This was NOT worth it. This is not a Italian restaurant. This would make any italian granny cringe . The only nice thing about this place was that it...
