Granny’s Spoon — Restaurant in Butler

Our family just moved to Alabama A couple of weeks ago and we were excited to try the food here and boy Did it not disappoint. We have been in here twice and today we decided to try a few items on the menu, including the fried chicken. I have to quote our 10-year-old son “ this is by far the best fried chicken I have ever had!” It was surprising to hear because he normally does not like chicken and he ended up eating three pieces! I will say that I agree with with him. It was definitely flavorful and juicy, and probably the best chicken we’ve had. I ate breakfast at the granny spoon This morning. The quality of the food was better than the Waffle House chain & the IHOP chain. The hostess was friendly & kind. Sevice was great since we didn't have wait long for meal to arrive. & taste of water was great! These folks aren’t messing around up here. I have not had a comfort style stick to your ribs kind of meal like this in a long time. Everything I had was great. The fired chicken, the mashed potatoes, I had to refrain from drinking the gravy by itself, the cabbage and cornbread was so good. And the chocolate Bundt cake was so moist and fresh.
