Panda Market — Restaurant in Buxton

I go here 2-3 times a month for the store part (i've tried a few of the food they make there, it was very good, as I have no complaints). they offer a very wide variety of different drinks, snacks, and instant food from China, Korea, and Japan (at least, those are the only countries whose languages I've read on the labels), as well as common household items, and everything else you'd find in a gas station store. This helps a lot while learning different languages, actually, as well as wanting to try food and drink from different places. The staff are very nice and definitely not unkind, and I have seemed to make friends with a very cute and friendly cat a couple of times I went. Is this place 5 star? No. Is it the best "chineese" food I've ever had? No. Is it an awesome market, with a great selection of Asian foods and spices with an amazing family behind the scenes? Absolutely. I LOVE this place. The food is, good. Not the best, but it's always hot and scratches that "chineese food" itch. The market is well stocked with Asian ingredients, tools, candy and great local beer. Especially when you consider the location. The gas is always less than anywhere around. And the family that runs it couldn't be nicer! Multiple times I've gone in asking if they carry a specific ingredient. My wife and I are vacationing in Buxton for the second year in a row. We are originally from NH/ME. We now live in North Carolina which does not have Chinese Food that’s as good as what is available in most of New England. We decided to give Panda Market a try based upon reviews that were mostly positive. We were very happy we did. The chow main, fried rice, boneless spare ribs, and chicken fingers were as good or better than what we have had elsewhere. The portions were ample and piping hot. The price was fair.
