First time to try this restaurant and I really enjoyed their food! I celebrated my bday their and had a slice of cake with candle and bday msg which was really nice!🎂 We had fried ravioli which is okay? Then, I had the ribs and mash potato I must say that the ribs was on point! The meat is still juicy and its not overcooked! A perfect balance with the guava sauce! The mash potato OMG! I had my abuela’s mash potato but this one was something else! It taste like homemade and made really fresh, I just wish that I can just order to-go just for the mash potato. On the other hand we also ordered Shrimp Risotto OMG! This is also a must try! Its flavorful and creamy! Drinks we got passion fruit mojito, reg. Mojito, smoked old fashioned which is also a must try! Overall the food and the experience was great BUT the only thing I noticed was there’s alot of flies if you eat in their patio area/outdoor area. Im not sure if they can do somethjng about it or what? If your around cabo rojo this is the place you have to check out!

It's nice to have a restaurant other than fast food that specializes in non Hispanic food in the area for a change of pace. Luckily, 101 west delivers food that would make it successful in any part of the U.S. really excellent quality food. The chicken gorgonzola sauce was lacking a bit of flavor, as were the rib ravioli. Wife thinks I asked for mushroom ravioli and that's why it was a little more bland but I'm sure I asked for the rib ravioli. Whichever it was, I was hoping for a delicious filling. The sauce stole the show though. The filling could use some work in terms of flavor. Two small critiques, but I would 100% return based on the overall food quality, service, and ambiance. One more thing it would be awesome if a $6 slice of chocolate cake came with ice cream scoop 😋

The ribs peel off the bone. Succulent, moist, to die for! At $30 a plate that is exactly what you expect. Had fried potatoes with the ribs and was blown away. These are no ordinary french fries. Crispy, flavourful, a great complement. Bar was closed so I could not sample their true talents. Service was well above the expectation, we had two people looking on us, plus the owner came out and did the round... My only complaint, the passion fruit drink was watered down. Regardless, highly recommended.

We decided to try this restaurant with high expectations, but unfortunately, our experience was quite mixed. The quality of the food was very inconsistent — while a couple of dishes we ordered were genuinely enjoyable, others were disappointing both in flavor and presentation. It felt as if there was no standard in the preparation; some plates seemed carefully made while others felt rushed and lacking the same level of attention.

Service was another area where the experience fell short. The waitress who attended to our table was not particularly helpful. When we had questions about the menu, her responses were vague and did not really clarify anything for us. We also encountered some issues with a few of our dishes, and rather than addressing them with concern or offering solutions, her attitude came across as indifferent, almost as if she just wanted to move on to the next table. This lack of engagement made us feel like our concerns didn’t matter, which was disappointing for a sit-down dining experience.

Overall, while there were moments where we could see the potential — thanks to a few well-prepared dishes — the inconsistency in both the food and the service overshadowed the positives. Dining out is not only about the food but also about the overall experience, and in this case, it simply wasn’t as enjoyable as we had hoped. I truly believe the restaurant could do much better with more consistent kitchen execution and more attentive,...

If you’re searching for a place that feels like a well-kept secret, look no further than 101 West Kitchen and Bar. Tucked away in Boqueron Cabo Rojo, this hidden gem is a culinary treasure that truly stands out. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed by warm, attentive staff and an ambiance that feels cozy yet sophisticated.

The menu? Nothing short of perfection. Every dish is crafted with care, using fresh, high-quality ingredients. I recommend starting with Avocado egg-roll, which was bursting with flavor, and following it up with Ribs with BBQ Guava sauce and some delicious homemade mash potatoes, a meal that had me savoring every bite (my group had Rib Ravioli, Butternut squash ravioli and cheeseburger 🤭 I tried everything). The Tinto de Verano, reminded me of my last trip to Madrid Spain. For dessert we shared Key lime pie and vanilla ice cream sandwich was the perfect way to end the meal.

What sets this place apart is the attention to detail—not just in the food but in the overall experience. It’s the kind of place you want to tell everyone about, but also want to keep all to yourself. Whether you’re a foodie or just looking for a special place to unwind, 101 West Kitchen and Bar is a must-visit. Can’t...

Honestly, I couldn't provide any feedback regarding the food as my family and I never actually had a chance to eat. Apparently, you need a reservation to eat at this restaurant. We arrived around 1900hrs (7pm) and they closed at 2000hrs (8pm). The lady up front seemed frustrated that we showed up at that hour. She was rude and told us the kitchen closed at 1830hrs (6:30pm). She asked if I had a reservation but my family and I were just passing through after an afternoon at the beach. I totally get it the kitchen closes a bit early but nowhere in their advertising does it state a reservation is required. It wasn't a big deal as my family and I ended up taking our business to another establishment but it was just a weird and unfortunate experience. The locals (staff) seemed actually embarrassed by that lady's attitude. It seemed that the lady was a part of the management or maybe was a team leader. I don't know but you know never know in this business who you are dealing with and how one interaction can have lasting effects. Don't get me wrong, the place looked cool, the staff was cordial and apologetic but that one lady...
