We decided to try this restaurant with high expectations, but unfortunately, our experience was quite mixed. The quality of the food was very inconsistent â while a couple of dishes we ordered were genuinely enjoyable, others were disappointing both in flavor and presentation. It felt as if there was no standard in the preparation; some plates seemed carefully made while others felt rushed and lacking the same level of attention.
Service was another area where the experience fell short. The waitress who attended to our table was not particularly helpful. When we had questions about the menu, her responses were vague and did not really clarify anything for us. We also encountered some issues with a few of our dishes, and rather than addressing them with concern or offering solutions, her attitude came across as indifferent, almost as if she just wanted to move on to the next table. This lack of engagement made us feel like our concerns didnât matter, which was disappointing for a sit-down dining experience.
Overall, while there were moments where we could see the potential â thanks to a few well-prepared dishes â the inconsistency in both the food and the service overshadowed the positives. Dining out is not only about the food but also about the overall experience, and in this case, it simply wasnât as enjoyable as we had hoped. I truly believe the restaurant could do much better with more consistent kitchen execution and more attentive,...

Tucked away in Boqueron Cabo Rojo, this hidden gem is a culinary treasure that truly stands out. From the moment you walk in, youâre welcomed by warm, attentive staff and an ambiance that feels cozy yet sophisticated.
The menu? Nothing short of perfection. Every dish is crafted with care, using fresh, high-quality ingredients. I recommend starting with Avocado egg-roll, which was bursting with flavor, and following it up with Ribs with BBQ Guava sauce and some delicious homemade mash potatoes, a meal that had me savoring every bite (my group had Rib Ravioli, Butternut squash ravioli and cheeseburger đ¤ I tried everything). The Tinto de Verano, reminded me of my last trip to Madrid Spain. For dessert we shared Key lime pie and vanilla ice cream sandwich was the perfect way to end the meal.
What sets this place apart is the attention to detailânot just in the food but in the overall experience. Itâs the kind of place you want to tell everyone about, but also want to keep all to yourself. Whether youâre a foodie or just looking for a special place to unwind, 101 West Kitchen and Bar is a must-visit. Canât...
Read moreHonestly, I couldn't provide any feedback regarding the food as my family and I never actually had a chance to eat. Apparently, you need a reservation to eat at this restaurant. We arrived around 1900hrs (7pm) and they closed at 2000hrs (8pm). The lady up front seemed frustrated that we showed up at that hour. She was rude and told us the kitchen closed at 1830hrs (6:30pm). She asked if I had a reservation but my family and I were just passing through after an afternoon at the beach. I totally get it the kitchen closes a bit early but nowhere in their advertising does it state a reservation is required. It wasn't a big deal as my family and I ended up taking our business to another establishment but it was just a weird and unfortunate experience. The locals (staff) seemed actually embarrassed by that lady's attitude. It seemed that the lady was a part of the management or maybe was a team leader. I don't know but you know never know in this business who you are dealing with and how one interaction can have lasting effects. Don't get me wrong, the place looked cool, the staff was cordial and apologetic but that one lady...
