My husband and I went to TRY n eat at this diner. We sat down and waited for ten minutes before walking out because we were not served, or even given a menu and drinks. Truck drivers have somewhere to be most of the time. We do not have time to wait on slow service because a business only wants 1 server working the morning rush. It's a real shame because the food does look good for a truck stop. We decided to get coffee and breakfast sandwiches to go in the store. No fresh coffee, so we got two canned coffee and two small microwaveable sandwiches. The total came out to be $20!! 😲 I know canned coffees are not as cheap as the hot coffee, but in the middle of nowhere Missouri we did NOT expect to be seeing California type pricing. This place is a bit ridiculous. We have been to many different truckstops and have never paid that much for how little we got. Even if the coffees were $4-5 each, which they shouldn't be, they are usually about $3.50, why are you guys charging another $5 for a tiny sandwich that I can get at Walmart in a pack of 6 for the same price? Word of advice: if the restaurant is too busy and you decide to get something to go, find yourself a loves or pilot down the road.
In addition to everything above, my husband left a review similar to this one earlier, and the owner was very rude replying. The owner even accused him of lying about the review 🤣. This place is even more of a joke now. It's price gouging at its finest, and the owner didn't take too well to being called out on it. And to the owner: worry about hring enough employees to actually serve your customers during a rush and then you wouldn't have to price gouge people in your store. You could have easily made $50 off of us if your server could've managed...
Read moreThis restaurant is in a “mom and pop” truck stop. The restaurant wasn’t very busy when I was there, but the food was great. I had a bacon cheeseburger and everything was fresh and tasted delicious. The waitress was sweet and fixed me up with blackberry cobbler with blackberry ice cream for desert. The view from the restaurants window overlooks the highway with the hillside terrain across the street. It was very picturesque. Restaurants like this are getting harder to find when traveling, and I encourage anyone looking to eat to stop there. We need to support these establishments before all we’re left with is gross fast food. I very much liked eating here and will gladly come here again when I am in the area. On a side note, anyone who wants a drink will feel welcome as there is a bar inside the restaurant as well. It was very well presented, but I didn’t have...

And never put in any of the order of 4 people.. then 15 mins later after the new order put in was told they were out of mashed potatoes. The order finally came after almost 1.5 hours and order was wrong the food was terrible and everyone was sick after we left! DONT GO HERE. Positive side was the waitress. She was great beyond...
