Senor Lopez Grill and Cantina — Restaurant in Cadiz

A very pleasant surprise. We eat out and travel a lot, and I have lived in Mexico. The place is new. The sign is not even out yet. Yet the restaurant was nearly full! I saw an item on the menu that caught my attention. The VERACRUZ. A Mexican seafood dish. Tilapia filet and shrimp with an ALFREDO sauce! (Different) and lot of mixed cooked veggies and rice. I really didn’t know what to expect but thought, nothing ventured, nothing gained. So I ordered it. When it came out it a least looked good and was still steaming. Then I tasted it and WOW! Very good! Unusual, creative and muy sabroso! Very delicious. My wife had a traditional Mexican dish, burrito with grilled chicken, also very good. Used to love this place, but here recently, they have made portions smaller and not as good when first opening. You have now lost my business due to food not being as great as before.

The food used to be great. Had a great selection other than just Mexican food. If you call in your order, make sure you check it before you leave. Almost always have something missing. I used to love the steak and grilled pork chops with baked potato and mixed vegetables, but they have gotten cheap and no longer are doing center cut pork chops. The staff was super sweet but the food was tasteless and not even close to tasting like Mexican. True Mexican food is full of flavor... Not necessarily hot or spicy but flavorful. This was not.

We each had a different burrito. The ground beef in mine had absolutely no seasoning at all! It's nothing more than ground beef wrapped in a tortilla. The beans and rice were just as tasteless. And... It was barely luke warm. Hubby said the steak in his was the same. Said the only flavor came from the tomatillo sauce. Taco Bell has more flavor than this food.
