Came here because a review from someone that said, they were talking to a couple from Texas that asked if they should eat here and afterwards the guy said he was from Dallas and this was the best brisket he's ever had, but tell the fellas in Texas cause they'd do him in. Well, I agree, they'd do him in. Not the best brisket I ever had. Not bad. Needs a knife to cut it. Seems a little overcooked. Aaron Franklin it is not. Tim Izidowski it is not. But to be fair, I don't think St. Louis is known for brisket, and this is still Illinois. So maybe it is the best brisket south of I-70 and north of the Mason-Dixon line east of the Mississippi west of Effington. Who knows. Oh, I think the Mac & Cheese bites can be found at Kroger in the frozen food section.

Stumbled on this place searching for good BBQ on a drive home through the east side of the Mississippi; glad we found it. Cute place, owner's wife explained the menu. We got Pulled Pork and Brisket plates which includes two sides. Pork very moist and lean, a bit weak on smoke flavor, but still excellent! Brisket plate had 8 thick slices, wonderful smoky flavor, tender, better than any steak! Baked beans the best according to my wife. Potato salad and homemade slaw excellent. Pasta salad was a bit sweet but still very tasty. Will definitely go back. If you are traveling through, worth a small detour, just a couple miles off I-55. Highly recommended! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We stayed at the RV park next to this place and could smell it as soon as we pulled in. It’s a very clean place, very friendly staff, and you can tell they care about their product. My wife had a brisket salad and I had a two meat plate (ribs and chicken wings) with fries and baked beans. Oh man! All the food really hit the spot. They have a variety of house-made sauces and we tried them all. They were all so different and tasty! We washed everything down with a couple bottles of a local favorite, Fitz’s Root Beer. All-around an incredible meal. We’re passing through from far away so I don’t know if we’ll be back, but it DEFINITELY made a lasting impression!!

It was, admittedly, not the best ribs or brisket I've had. However, they were both flavorful and (BBQ) tender. The ribs fell off the bone. Pink ring enthusiastically present in both. I'm tempted to use the word serviceable but I'm afraid people won't understand how high my standards are and think it's a dig. It is not. I would eat them every day.

Sauces were on the side and were great. Hot bbq sauce was perfectly balanced: not too sweet, tangy, or hot. White sauce just rich and tangy enough. Mustard sauce mustardy but well balanced. Haven't tried the sweet yet.

Potato salad was delicious and served as a great counterpoint to the meat... be aware, if you have strong opinions about potato salad needing to be full of yellow mustard and relish, you won't be satisfied. Had more of a mayo/creme fraiche feel playing off bacon.

Cole slaw was on point. Nothing blowing me out of the water, but cabbage just the right texture. It was not watery, not too rich and saucy, not too sweet.

Mac and cheese bites (we got the jalapeño option) were cheesy and creamy inside and crispy and delicate out... in a word, perfect.

The nachos are not what you might expect as they are on house made potato chips: an excellent decision as they got less soggy. served with their baked beans (great), cheese, and your choice of meat.

Was told about smoked wings, deep fried, and served w/ garlic butter that I definitely will try next time.

Super friendly and helpful.

They deserve the 5 stars and a stop by if you're in the area... especially if camping in...

A great place for barbecue at an unexpected place - attached to an RV park in Cahokia, IL. Really great smoke flavor on the meats (especially the brisket), and heaping plates of food, plus southern-food-inspired appetizers like fried corn nuggets, make this a good stop when you're in the mood for fast and delicious BBQ. The service is hit or miss, but really there's little to it since you order at a register and the food is brought to you when finished.

There's an interesting selection of bottled beers and sodas that changes each time I'm in there, so make sure to grab one of those instead of the usual fountain drinks. A nice-sized seating area fills the restaurant, but it's often crowded until late; I usually see a few tables that aren't cleaned off, but that's due to the nature of the type of service you get. No-frills-BBQ at a good price, worth the drive...

I am from the land of GREAT bbq places. But we always look for local flavors when we travel and I like to support small businesses. I mapped this place out on our way back to the hotel from a day at the zoo. All 5 of us ordered something different. Teen boy ordered the full nachos. Took probably 3/4 of it to go. It was an ENORMOUS order of nachos served in a pie tin. Brisket platter, order of baby back ribs, smokehouse salad w/pulled pork (also served in a pie tin), and a pulled pork sandwich. Everything was fantastic! Generous portions. That BBQ vinaigrette was BOMB!!! And my girls said that was the best applesauce, hands down! The staff was super friendly and checked on us often making sure all our needs were met. Thank you for taking care of these...
