We were the couple who were married in the review mentioned below by our DJ. Our experience was completely opposite of his - it was absolutely incredible! The staff was amazing and so attentive to us and to our guests. The food was so delicious - even better than we had hoped! It has been 2 years and our guests still comment about what an incredible experience it was - and almost everyone mentions how fantastic the staff, location, and food were!
Our DJ (who I would not necessarily recommend to others) had a difficult time with the staff because they politely asked him to move his truck so our guests could park closer to the Inn (he refused), and then also had to ask him to move his arrangement a bit in order to accommodate an additional table (which he did, but only after being difficult and making his displeasure known to everyone).
We continue to return to Churchill Pointe Inn for our anniversary and other occasions when we're visiting Hubbard Lake - and will always continue to do so. Our experience was incredible - and I would wholeheartedly recommend the Inn to anyone looking for a delicious meal, an incredible stay, or a breathtakingly beautiful setting for their wedding (or...
Read moreWe had the prime rib and it was excellent, sometimes it's hard to get good prime rib up north but they shined. Fresh loaf of sourdough bread hit the spot along with a great salad. Also a great view of Hubbard lake. Highly recommend for a nice dinner, entrées go for $20 to $30 Update, went there for dinner hoping for a repeat performance, unfortunately it was subpar. Ordered NY strip dinner special medium rare, it came to the table well done, sent back steak and they brought out a steak cooked less than rare, strike 2, I was asked if if I wanted to send that one back and I said no I just dealt with it I ate the end piece which was on the rare side not quite medium rare and another person in the party also ordered the New York strip and it seemed like there wasn't much flavor to the steak it was very disappointing. The prime rib was ordered by one person at the party and it was very thin not like the nice peace that we had last year. For $30 a New York strip steak should be cooked to perfection and prime meat not subpar flavored meat we did not have a good dinner unfortunately. Maybe they were just off that night we're not sure if we're going to try it...
Read moreI had dinner there last night with my sister and brother-in-law. My sister had their Champagne Chicken and my brother-in-law had their Michigan Salad with chicken. Their dinners were very good but my Chicken Picatta was over powered with lemon. The chef hadn't cooked the lemon juice down enough and there wasn't any evidence of the white wine cream sauce as promised in the meal description on their menu. I probably should have sent it back but I do prefer to eat with everyone else. My sister and I both had desserts which were very good. Right before we left we observed a waitress doing a table side bottle wine presentation / serving. It was obvious the waitstaff hadn't been taught proper wine presentation as the waitress literally picked up the guests wine glasses which is a no no in wine presentation, filled the wine glasses and then set them down. In wine presentation you never ever touch the wine glass. She never offered the the person who ordered the wine a taste test before pouring the rest of the guests as is protocol in wine...
