Love the breakfast here! It's really hard to beat & i don't think you'll find a better home made gravy & yes theirs is home made... the pork chop plate & added hash browns was way bigger proportion than I expected & couldn't eat it all but guess what order & extra biscuit & gravy then eat the extra porkchop & gravy later... ! Again did I say their gravy was really great & home made... lol... just a all around great place to eat... I enjoyed sitting at the bar & having conversation with the other locals i met a Mr John Rainwater & another feeler Shawn & we all just had a good visit eating & talking... I greatly appreciate places like this that just feel like visiting home for a good home cooked meal & fellowship...!

It's kinda like home cooking but with smoked 🍖 meat . I still go here because I love the food. But if they mess up your order it’s all laughing an one of the ladies even said ( (I didn’t know what she ordered so I just gave her what ever)) so before you leave check your food!!..

I must be missing something. I have eaten here about 5 times over the years and found the food to be just "ok". They are obviously very popular and seemingly always busy. Haven't had anything to get excited about. I will include a photo of the ham and cheese omelet from today.

I tried this place twice before reviewing it. I remember the old Big John's Treat Shoppe in Dalton and recall they had the best burgers and BBQ....so, needless to say, disappointing doesn't cover it for this place. I first tried breakfast about 5-6 months ago. I got gravy with biscuits and a side of bacon. It was beyond bland and the only flavor was the grease the bacon came swimming in. I had to throw away the whole thing and it wasn't cheap. So, forward about 2 months and my sister brings home Big John's for dinner. I thought the breakfast was a one time thing. Surely. Just a bad day. Uh, no. All I can say is eat here at your own risk because it's 50/50 it'll be disgusting or it'll be good. They're not cheap. If you take the time to look, it seems the reviews are steadily declining the past 5 to 6 months. So it isn't just me. I ordered the burger and fries for dinner. It was the most burnt, dry, tasteless meal I've ever had in my life. It tasted like charcoal and that's it. I could've chewed up charcoal out of the bag for free because we already had some of that at the house. So I won't be back to this one. It makes me nauseated thinking of it. In fact, someone recently asked if I wanted lunch and I did until they offered this place. I passed. I don't ever pass up food. It's THAT bad. They better get a grip on whatever the issue is because they're gonna ruin a good long lasting business if it...

The food is great. But it does taste better when they are not so busy. When they are packed their food is drier due to being rushed and cooking on to high of heat. I always have excellent food. Only had a couple dudes during the lunch rush. Both times burger patties were dried out. It wouldn't be so bad if the burger didn't cost almost $8.00 for just the burger. Other times it's the best burger I've ever had. Like I said with most places. It's best to go when they are not so busy. This place is hard to catch it like that. It's best to get there early. They actual do sell...
