We were visiting from out of town and wanted a fun place on the water to eat and have drinks at, which after googling brought us to this place. The servers and food were good. We had decided to go next door to another restaurant and have a drink so we left our car in their parking lot. We did read the sign that said NO OVERNIGHT PARKING, which was fine because we were only going next door for a quick drink before returning our rental car. After returning 45 minutes later, the gate to the parking lot was closed. We called the restaurant and luckily someone answered. We asked if they were able to open the gate. After made a fool and being told they watched us on camera read the sign, he hesitantly came and opened the gate. He was rude and ridiculed us. Mind you, no where on the sign did it give the hours of the restaurant or what time the parking lot gate closed. This should be posted on the parking lot sign. After spending over a $100 at their establishment I’m disappointed in how we were treated. Also if you watched/heard us on camera contemplating this than maybe you should have chimed in???!!!!! Editing because your sign said for customers only, proof that I was a customer! Maybe try being kinder. Also your sign DID say NO OVERNIGHT parking! Again, if you saw us on camera why wouldn’t you say something?

I’m not a good critic but I definitely know good food. A friend brought me here when I offered to take her to Ruth Chris. She swore the Alamar was better. Skeptical I reluctantly agreed to check it out. Down a ramp way perched right along the water it was an amazing atmosphere. My friend ordered the Buffalo Chicken burger and I had an Alamar burger. As far as the food goes I can say without any doubt or reservation that it is indeed better than Ruth Chris. The crunch of the crispy chicken sandwich was something I had not experienced before. And the burger was juicy and full of flavor. Hot and crunchy French fries coupled with a fine lemonade on a warm summer day made the the whole experience, perfect.

We only live about 15 MI from the Alamar and have never been there. We sat outside on the dock patio area in the Sun and watched the boats on the Sacramento River. The food was great. I had the catfish sandwich and would recommend it and my wife had the chicken sandwich. The cocktails are really good. Kristen is a great waitress and I would recommend this place to everyone. 11/15: I went here with a friend for lunch. They always have a special and I try to get that every other time. The food is really good and fairly priced. Very good wait staff as well. You can't go wrong here!

āļøāļøāļøāļøāļø 5/5 Me and my boyfriend had dinner at Alamar’s near Sacramento and we were both super impressed. The food and atmosphere were more than inviting—relaxing riverfront vibes, great lighting, and super friendly staff.

My boyfriend ordered the Nashville Chicken Sandwich with an Old Fashioned and gave it a solid 9/10 after just a few bites. I’ll be uploading pics of his drink—it looked great and he said it tasted even better.

For appetizers, we had the calamari and the smoked fish dips. The calamari was cooked just right, and the sauce that came with it even matched perfectly with the fries. That sauce was honestly šŸ”„. The smoked fish dips? Creamy, a little smoky, and very shareable. We both really liked it.

I ordered the lobster roll with a side of fries and a Blackberry Mule (think Bird Dog blackberry whiskey, muddled berries, lime and ginger beer—sweet, tart, refreshing). What really stood out to me was the texture of the lobster—it had this rice-like consistency in the shred, but it didn’t take away from the roll at all. Actually added to it. Tasted like a buttery ocean dream šŸ˜

They also have a small, separated smoking section in the back which kept the main patio nice and fresh. Huge plus if you’re not a fan of smoke around your food.

Overall, would totally come back again. Great date night spot or casual hang...

We arrived on Sunday morning 4/24/22 at ll:28 a.m. with our 2 dogs hoping to have lunch there. As soon as we arrived our server told us they were switching from breakfast to lunch and when I asked how long it would be before we could order she said 15-20 minutes. We decided to stay and wait. I asked for a menu but was told they don't give them out until they are ready for lunch orders. Strange.. you can pull it up online. Anyway it was after 12:00 by the time they started passing out menus. and they started giving out menus and orders from people who arrived after we did. Then we finally got our order in at 12:15. By this time the dogs are getting antsy and whiny and we finally just decided to cancel the order and leave. They should have signage at the restaurant and notes on their website and menu that says they don't take food orders between ll:30-12. And certainly the staff should be truthful about how long the wait is if someone asks. I was very disappointed as I'd heard good things about the...
