Albert's Fresh Mexican Food — Restaurant in California

I'll first prefix by saying that we can't speak regarding the other variables, that other reviewers have mentioned (i.e. dining section, other location, etc.). The bar section of Rancho San Diego location is the only environment we've been participants, and has eventually become a neighborhood hang-staple for my husband and I. Those considerations aside -- we have had nothing but great experiences, since first visiting in 2019. "¿Por que?" ALBERT'S MEXICAN might be a no-frills venue, but has all the the important benchmarks: 1.) The ambiance is simple, clean, and welcoming; 2.) The service is excellent (perhaps lacks saccharine small talk, but we personally prefer efficient and warm-but-professional -- Manny is especially wonderful); 3.) The food is DARN good, 'San Diegian Mex' (VS. Authentic Mexican).

In short: Highly recommend...

I've lived down the street over four years and today was my first visit. I was so pleased. The sign says to please be patient because fresh food takes time but our meals were out quickly. I assume the sign references their peak hours. There were plenty of people going in and out for dine-in and to-go so they definitely were not slow. My husband got the small rolled tacos & I got two cheese enchiladas. We were both totally satisfied. They brought us chips and two cups so we could select our preference of salsa from the salsa bar. That was really nice and no one else does that. I would like to compliment their Styrofoam cups because I swear they make fountain sodas taste better. I made sure to put cash in the tip jar up front by the register because they deserved it. I'll be back again soon. Can't wait to try the...

We loved this place! It it’s our second time here, our first visit was a month ago but surprisingly the staff remembered us and she even remembered where we sat last time! I was really impressed by their good service! This place is really busy but the staff is still really nice and helpful so please be patient with them.

The price is reasonable and the food is AMAZING!! They have a great selection of food and drinks!( They even have a separate area for the Bar/ Cantina!)

We especially loved their soup and Hot Cheetos burrito!! Their soup always comes in a big bowl and the hot Cheetos burrito might sound weird but trust me it’s sooo good!!!

We will definitely keep coming back and try out more...
