Went to this restaurant on 06-20-23 and posted a glowing review and planned to return the next night. OMG What happened??!! It was horrible. The spaghetti was ..... well, 1st, it was angel hair, that is not a 'spaghetti' noodle, but, could have lived with that, but, the sauce..... straight out of a jar and not even warm. It was horrible!!! and now, that it is not really spaghetti noodles, the sauce is horrible .... it is now way tooooo expensive. I asked for extra sauce, a person brought me out a bowl of cold, out of the jar, sauce. No meat in it, etc. so you could tell it was right out of the jar, but, they did not even warm it up!! Even the grilled garlic bread was different. Not even grilled done. So, the owner needs to look at who was cooking on June 20th and promote them and then see who was cooking on June 21st and fire them. So, based on the food we received on June 21st and paid over $70 for, I DO NOT RECOMMEND TO EAT HERE!! Also, the salad bar that I got, everything was soft and wilted and horrible!! You need to not have a salad bar if it is going to be stuff that is 8 hours old.--------------FOR THE JUNE 20TH, 2023 VISIT I POSTED THIS REVIEW: Absolutely the BEST restaurant Spaghetti I have ever eaten!! The marinara was perfection!! The fried shrimp were...
Read moreAbsolutely terrible experience. We came here on May 1, 2024 after a tiring day of exploring Sequoia, wanting some food. It took literally over an hour for the food to come out. What's worse is the order was completely wrong. We'd asked for Chicken Fingers with Mac and Cheese and Pasta in Alfredo sauce. Instead we got fingers with mashed potatoes and pasta in marinara sauce.
It's unreal how this came out so wrong. The funny thing is it wasn't just us with this experience - there was an elderly couple who seemed to have been waiting for a while for their order, and their server came out saying "we didn't have the brownie so I brought the ice cream". The couple said we ordered the apple pie....and the server said oh we don't have apple pie. Absolutely comical, I don't know how that level of incompetence is even possible.
The food itself was digestible, but the experience completely ruined our night of just wanting to relax back at our hotel. These guys seem to have a monopoly over the area since there aren't any other food options nearby which should...
Read moreMy husband & I came into Bella Brooke Cafe at Gena's after visiting Sequoia National Park & Kings Canyon all day. We were tired & hungry & thought the cafe wouldn't be open for dinner because it was late & a Wednesday night. We had a very pleasant surprise. They were hospitable, kind & very professional. They took our drinks/dinner order in a prompt manner, with a very naturally kind attitude. The half order of veggie pasta with tomato sauce, mushrooms, zucchini & butternut squash was deliciously seasoned. My husband's dish was homemade, mash potatoes & a salmon fillet. It was super. We are grateful to our server & chef. The girl who checked us in for our overnight stay in one of the cottages was very helpful. She even got up from her seat in front of the computer & went outside with us to show us which way to drive to reach our unit....
