Carnitas Barajas — Restaurant in California

Carnitas are delicious, the salsas are eh.. if anything ask for the chili oil that stuff is delicious and very spicy... The carnitas are around $9 lb..... I ask for my carnitas mixed, so I get buche, and cueritos, costilla, mixed, in the lbs. I order... 4 stars because the salsas,, and because the first couple of times I went, a younger girl took our orders, and I had to order everything separate, even after I told her we were planning on eating there... later on, on a diffrent visit, a diffrent lady taking my order asked me why I was ordering everything separate, and I told her thats just how I have been ordering...she informed that all I had to say was that I was planning on eating it there and they would give me everything I needed, to eat there, in my order... I told her that I had, and the girl would just charge me everything seperate... Anyway 3 fountain drinks $2 of tortillas and 1 1/2 lbs of mixed carnitas comes out to...

Oh my goodness... So I'm driving to Yosemite, and I want some Mexican food. It's early in the morning, and I get a detour through Merced to head up the 140 (my usual route is on the 120). I try to stop somewhere in Merced, and I end up seeing this one last random place on the way up. It's got 4.7 stars, so it should be good, right?

Good is an understatement. Along with the carnitias at Carnitias Michoacan in Gilroy, this is absolutely top of the line. I got a carnitas burrito, and it was pure heaven. Perfectly cooked, juicy, tasty carnitas. And the size.... whoa! This was a "regular" burrito? I didn't get the super since it has all that gringo stuff (cheese, sour cream, etc.).

I highly recommend stopping here for their carnitas. Better...

Ordered food from here and eww. Ordered tacos for my Tia and grandpa and I got Carne Asada Fries. Their tacos looked gross and the meat dried up They couldn't finish it because their tacos had no flavor My carne asada fried were DISGUSTING!

My favorite food is carne asada Fries and I've taste some from a lot of places, but this was probably the worst place to order from. I've never had fries with nacho cheese! My fries were drenched in that sauce and my plate had lettuce in it. Again I've eaten from a lot of places and I always like to order carne asada fries, but man I've never had any with nacho cheese and a BUNCH of lettuce. None of us...
