Delta Sports Bar and Grill — Restaurant in California

I’m a local here on the island and this is my 3rd time at this bar.

I arrived for the Super Bowl specials with some family.

Upon arriving about an hour before kick off I walked up to the bar, Mel introduced herself.

Upon choosing my drink, I gave her my card and said “I’m expecting company, I would like to keep this open” her response floored me. She said “sure as long as there’s money on it” I was shocked, my response was “you’re free to run it if you’d like” then I walked away. Upon returning shortly after asking for quarters for the pool table I was again greeted with some annoyance and passive aggressiveness.

My company and I chose to leave during half time due to the constant rude remarks and attitude we had received. My cousin approached the bar and has asked if she had “Midori” which is a melon liqueur and I felt it was an appropriate question given the well drink special and that only liquor bottles are displayed. Again he was braced with backhanded comments and after that we closed out finished our drinks and left as soon as half time hit.

I’m not sure her behavior was warranted due to the fact we were the youngest customers in the bar at the time but I truly will not be back, and if I am it’s for the pool table and NO DRINKS.

Wanted to go out for lunch with my 1.5 year old, so I called and asked if they had food and weren’t just a bar and to make sure kids were allowed. Got a yes to both so we stopped by. Food was excellent, the bartender who was also the food server was super nice and helpful. Food came out decently quick and blew my expectations. I got the patty melt and fries and my daughter got the chicken tenders and fries, and they were both delicious. The patty melt was cooked exceptionally, and the fries they have are amazing! Both were crispy but also melted in your mouth, definitely coming back to try other things, maybe pizza next time (: I really like that they have such a huge outdoor dining area, it’s really pretty and has plenty of seating. They also have some kids toys out there for the Little’s to play with which was really nice while we were waiting for food because anyone with kids knows that toddlers don’t particularly like to sit still. Best Karaoke Spot 🎤🎶 I absolutely love going to the Delta Sports Bar and Grill for their karaoke nights! It's hands down the best karaoke experience in the East Bay. I regularly drive an hour just to sing with Charlie Lopez, who hosts an amazing show. He has the best selection of songs, fantastic sound quality, and a welcoming personality that makes everyone feel like part of the family. Charlie remembers everyone’s name, and that personal touch makes a huge difference!

The food here is fantastic, too. I highly recommend the steak sandwich, burger, and potato skins — everything on the menu is delicious. It’s great to enjoy a night out with good food, fun vibes, and a warm, friendly atmosphere.

Another thing I love about Delta Bar and Grill is that karaoke happens indoors during the colder months, so you stay warm, and in the garden area during summer, which makes for a perfect night out.
