Don Pepe's Bar & Grill — Restaurant in California

Nice Mexican place at Shafter. Not too pricey, I ordered "Grilled chicken quesadilla"; it came with a small side of "Pico de gallo", guacamole and sour cream. It was very good, chicken perfectly grilled, not overcooked, juicy and well seasoned. I washed ot down with ive unsweetened tea, very good, I must say. (Refilled included), ended paying $20 tip included. Place is clean and with a very good A/C system. Servers were nice and very efficient, the one that waitered our table spoke english as well as spanish. Clean restrooms. Ample parking. Overall very good expetince, I'll come back and try something else....

This place is pretty good. The food wasn't excellent and the atmosphere was pretty chill. I gave the service one star not because of my server because of the kitchen staff. It literally took 23 minutes to get our food. And when they brought the food out they didn't bring one of my children's food out with the rest. So she was just stuck there watching everybody else eat. When our food finally came and this is after two people that came in before us got fed. It was hot and it was good. I suggest you order ahead of time so by the time you leave your house and show up to this restaurant your food should be on...

The only reason I am giving a 2 star is because the place is clean and looks nice. The food was hardly edible. The waitresses were standing around and acted like they hated their jobs. I had to get up to ask for a refill for my tea. My food was bland and my husband's chorizo was so salty he couldn't eat it. Then once we were done they walked by several times but never asked if we needed the check so we had to go to the counter again and ask for it. The waitress was honest though because my husband dropped money out of his pocket and she brought it to us. So I tipped good eventhough the service and...
