For starters, this place is absolutely FILTHY. Thick dust covers every light fixture, from the bar to the restrooms, and the floor looks like it hasn't been mopped in ages. The whole place feels run down and one of those establishments with enough of a local lot that no one has to care about upkeep. Beer cans were strewn all over the outside grounds too. The food was nothing special. My dad's rare steak was cooked well and the vaunted tritip sandwich was overcooked, replaced with another one cooked sandwich which may have been a reheated previous one and nothing to write home about. Despite being the only ones there for most of the afternoon, the service was slow and the only positive being that they actually served dad a steak shortly before dinner time since it was actually (over) done. It's very rare that I get a vibe this bad from a place, but I seriously cannot fathom the positive reviews and how this place stays in business. Guess the bar must be awesome and most people come at night. Avoid this place...

The bar is alright. It's been lively, it's been quiet. It's been alot of things. The beer selection is adequate. Tall glasses of draft beer are available. Thirst quenching on a hot day, or a hit date.
There are stages outside and in the bar and occasionally there will be themed gatherings there. KCSS has had shows there, though I think they've gone somewhere else. HELL, I played a segue show there a few years back on the third stage near the sound booth. So there's all kinds of things going on there, it's just hit or miss some nights. Never know.
There is a motel 6 next door if yer so inclined after a bit of revelry to do a little lay me down. And the access to highway 99 is really easy.
Only thing is, if there's a party out there, be sure the local law enforcement will be there somewhere looking for borrachos. It's on the outskirts of town so they've got you pegged. Just remember, have fun,...
Read moreI have always loved this place. The owners are such awesome people. I like them so much I call the owner Uncle Frank haha. The food is seriously amazing. The bar is kick back and chill. They have an outside bar as well where several different kegs are tapped waiting for your glass. Also has and outside stage area with plenty of standing room and seating to view the different varieties of music and comedy shows held on specific weekends. Aside from being a bar, the restaurant opens bright and early for breakfast. I personally recommend their chicken fried steak with gravy and hash browns Bomb. Overall this place has 5 stars coming from this guy. It's a shame not too many people know of this place because of the location right off Taylor exit. But if people would give it a chance they'd fall in love with how homey and welcoming the place is. Come on everyone support this place and show up for breakfast during the week and grab a few beers with the boys or the girls on Saturday nights!...
