Happy Apple Kitchen — Restaurant in California

Thank you Christian, for telling me about your family's "really good" pies and sending the various flavors and prices, of the pies, to 'Mo', a manager/coworker and friend, via Dollar Thrift in Sacramento, last week).

Dollar Thrift is an amazing store, where everything is Only $!! Melissa's (the owner,) vision is that "A Thrift store should be affordable, for everyone!"! I love working there, great teamwork and fabulous... everything!!!

I had ordered three small-miini pies - lemon meringue, peach and mixed berry, all very reasonablly priced.

Last Tuesday, I appreciated Christian's gesture, of personally delivering them, to Dollar Thrift; in Sac. I spied him, entering the store and yelled a cherry hello, upon his arrival; where I volunteer (we find him shopping there, each week; lives it.

When Christian saw Mo, on the floor, at Dollar aThrift, he asked o, to give my pies, to me. Upon reaching me, near the register, Mo could feel and see my excitement, as she delivered my pies! Thank you Christian and Mo Mo!

We were so busy at Dollar Thrift that I was not able, or had the time, to taste. After dropping Mo off, I drove home. I chose the mini-peach pie first. I warmed it up briefly, for about 30 seconds. After removing my slice, from the microwave, its yummy aroma reached my nostrils, and my palate savored a slice, of my tasty, peach pie.

The next day I sliced my favorite piece, as a child - lemon meringue! It, too was tasty, as was the mixed berry that I tried in the evening. Prior, I stopped by the store and bought a tub of cool whip -:added topping, to each and they were yummy-tasty mini pies!

Great restaurant with country setting. Had lunch today..April 6th..see receipt. Shared the patty melt with fries (fries 4 bucks extra). Good flavor. Also had the chicken pot pie soup to go (omg..delicious!), and my friend ordered a slice of caramel pecan pie to go. Strong coffee! They have indoor and outdoor seating plus picnic tables in the grassy area. They are known for their delicious pies! Its located on colfax highway with relaxing views in the back of the restaurant. Happy Apple Kitchen used to one of our favorite places to eat. Today my family and I had a most unpleasant experience. A loud conversation between two adults sitting across the room from each other about the evils and dangers of vaccines and the wonders of the injustices being placed on the American people overshadowed what was to be a birthday lunch for our granddaughter. The misinformation that was being spread and the disrespect shown to the other patrons was extremely troubling. We had to listen to this the entire time we were there.
