We have been passing this lil spot for the last 4 years. In to much of a hurry to get to the casino. Then on the way home were broke and just want to get home. However today we made the time and boy was it worth the stop. The young man that helped us was super friendly and assured us we would be back. I had a breakfast burrito and my wife had a chili realino burrito with a Pepsi and a Monster. At most places a b fast burrito for $10.50 is average in taste and size. This However tasted pretty damn good with lots of meat not just stuffed with potatoes like most others. Im a big guy and I was hungry and I only got thru half of it. As did my wife. We both took half home and were able to have it as a meal later. They have a good salsa bar as well. I definitely recommend and we will be stopping...

Just okay. For starters on the positive, parking is super easy, they have a really nice covered patio to eat at with plenty of tables, the restaurant was clean, and the self-serve salsa bar was excellent. Prices were insanely good. $11 for a giant meal.

BUT THE FOOD WAS BEYOND SALTY. As someone that cooks, I don’t know how it could possibly have been so salty unless a mistake was made. I got the carne asada burrito and…it was tasty. Tasted of salt. I did manage to eat it all and the meat itself was tender and the burrito was stuffed to the max. But I just couldn’t get passed how salty it was. The gal working the counter wasn’t overly friendly either and seemed rushed. And the food was slow coming out. I’m willing to try it again and see if it was a one-time mistake or if that’s just how the...

Accidentally stumbled onto Jilberto’s Taco Shop on my way back from Palomar mountain. I would drive out from Oceanside to eat at this restaurant. I ordered a Chimichanga that turned out to be the best I have had. There was a slight taste of jalapeño pepper, just a slight background taste, not really spicy but the taste was there. I had rice and beans with the chimichanga. Turned out to be a very large meal. Staff is incredibly friendly, nice and helpful. No issues with parking. With both indoor and outdoor covered seating available looked like there would never be an issue with seating. Cash and credit...

The bean and cheese burrito from Jilberto’s Taco Shop in Pauma Valley, CA. After a bender on the Pai Gow tables at Harrahs in San Diego, we swung by one of several Jilberto’s spots on Route 76—this one definitely looked the most lit. The burrito? Solid tortilla, super creamy beans, and really well constructed and held up to my triple axel. Now, the crispy chicken and beef tacos? Absolute stars. Loaded with that shredded yellow goodness and paired with beans drenched in yellow cheesy goodness AND cotija. Honestly, that combo might’ve been the move for the burrito, too. Oh, and they had those oversized spicy pickled carrots—perfect for dipping. 🥕🔥 Do you guys think this bean and cheese cracks the top 100 list ?! If so, where does it land? And LMK where I should hit up next!

Wow - I went here with family, and the first thing that struck us was the low prices. The restaurant was almost empty when we went for a late afternoon lunch. We wound up ordering way too much food, because it was so cheap. The food was served fast, the portions are extremely generous, and the food was delicious. Their fresh tortillas are huge, hot, and a great texture. I'm always on the hunt for great carnitas, and they do a great job with theirs. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

Wanted to stop at this little taco spot for years! I should have done this YEARS AGO! We waited out front on the picnic benches, enjoying the fresh air and the views. Met Many people that were locals that told us this is the Best Around! We Agree! My husband's burrito was delicious (he didn't want a picture of him with food in his mouth), I just wanted you to see the size of it!!! He just couldn't finish it! Can't wait to go back!!
