I have gone since I was a child so this place has a warm welcoming nestalgic feel for me, that bias aside the food is unique in an area with A LOT of Mexican food places this one stands out, locals often go on Sundays. After church it's packed, but I prefer to go during the week the food seems better. As it is a small place, I'm sure they get overwhelmed at times, but honestly no matter what day you go it's still delicious. I recommend a twist on one of their unique menu items it's called "Espe-chips" it's a pile of fresh tortilla chips topped in their special "chili verde" -green chili - chili verde is traditionally made with pork meat slow cooked in it, me not loving pork much have them put their amazing pressure cooked shredded chicken instead of the pork chunks their still is pork bits as it is part of the chili Verde but it's better in my opinion. They smother it in Monterey jack cheese it all melts together to make a nacho type dish but way way better than regular nachos...regardless of what you decide to order it is wonderful and the owners who are their all the time are so friendly and nice ensuring everything is great, the waiters are very friendly and fast and to top it off you can have a nice big meal for two for a Lil over 20 bucks ( and probably have leftovers) way better than spending almost the same at some fast food places for disgusting old junk your dog's and cats...
Read moreLa Esperanza is a fantastic dining spot with a welcoming atmosphere and great service. The standout dish for me was the Espe chips—crispy, flavorful, and a must-try if you’re planning to visit. The variety of dishes on the menu offers something for everyone, and each dish is prepared with care. Whether you’re craving something classic or looking to try something new, the food is both satisfying and flavorful.
What really sets La Esperanza apart, though, is the balance between quality and price. The portions were generous enough to leave you full without feeling like you’ve overpaid. Compared to similar restaurants, the pricing is very decent, making it a great place for casual dining that doesn’t break the bank. You get good value for your money, and that’s hard to come by these days.
The service was another highlight. The staff were attentive and friendly, ensuring that everything arrived promptly and that we had what we needed throughout the meal. It’s the kind of place where you feel welcomed and taken care of, making the overall experience a positive one. Whether you’re a regular or trying it for the first time, La Esperanza offers a reliable and enjoyable...
Read moreAmazing all around! The food is exceptionally delicious and comforting. Get Espe chips. Get chili verde anything and you will not be disappointed. In fact, order quarts to-go because you'll want to eat it all week on everything! Even when we're the last one's in the restaurant, they don't rush us. They even brewed me fresh coffee at closing. The second-to-last time I was there, I left my phone and they called to let me know they kept it safe to return to me. Service is warm, friendly, and thoughtful. I feel like family whenever we come in, like I am at my grandmother's and she is serving me fresh, homemade tortillas with rice and beans (just missing the kiss on my forehead, the "Mija"s, and the couch on which to pass into a food coma after inhaling frijoles and menudo [and/or tamales, burritos, chili relleno], at record-breaking competitive-food-eating speed). Muchos gracias,...
