ACTIONS Speak Louder Than Words... So all i gota say towards what happened today is.... If your Latino ethnicity like me and my friend dont expect to get treated good unless your white ethnicity. We Came to eat here to enjoy good food at this high end resturaunt....but as dined we did not get any type of same quality customer service because racism was involved from the waiters serving us. I even took a video of a part of what was happening... Its sad..... I actualy Felt very unwelcome there and ignored and realy noticed how white ethnicity guest where the only ones to be taken care of..... Only positive thing is the Food, it was amazing on taste exept for the portion sizes. Its funny even as we were leaving the water forgot to giv us our tab until he had to go ask for the tab to pay... It was ridiculous honestly.
...But i have to say the manager is very polite and soon he noticed how we werent being served like the other guest...
Very sad unwelcoming experience for my first time going there.
Hopefully yall can fix this problem....we're in 2019 and racism should never fall into play at a restaurant...
Read moreConvenient location, great service, TERRIBLE food. Went there for dinner yesterday and were seated immediately which was nice. Complimentary bread was quite good. Ordered the 16 oz Ribeye ($49) and a burger ($18) with a couple glasses of wine ($8/each). Steak was extremely UNDER cooked and unseasoned, which was surprising given it appeared to be a nice cut of meat. The steak was paired with a plain baked potato and cheap vegetable medley starring CANNED corn and frozen hericots verts. As far as the burger goes, even that was an upset. The burger was too large to take a bite of, not to mention the soggy bottom bun preventing it from being picked up. The meat was underseasoned, OVER cooked, and had pieces of char that gave it a burnt taste. Frankly, this was my WORST experience eating out of any casino restaurant. A sincere waste of money for overpriced, minimal-quality food. I would truly recommend eating before...
Read moreThe Lone Wolf is great. The staff and service is always excellent! The food is pretty incredible. The bacon wrapped shrimp & the (16 oz!! OMG what?! Huge!) Ribeye (with mashed potatoes instead of a baked potato) would be my recommendations! The bar has a wide array of both conventional & unconventional drinks & the wine list is decent. I usually get a margarita (not blended), my husband had his blended - which I tried and both were excellent.
The only reason for the 4 stars & not 5 is that the place is one of the few nice places to eat in the area and it's sort of small and sometimes difficult to get a same-day reservation so depending on your plans make a reservation early if you can. I also think that the menu - while the food is excellent - could be a bit bigger with a wider array of options.
Still one of the few nice restaurants to try if you are in the upper Sierras aka...
