The LongBranch Saloon: A Hidden Gem in Creston That Defies Expectations š„š„
Tucked away in the small town of Creston, The Long Branch was described to me as a dive barābut what I experienced was something much more memorable. While it might carry that dive bar label on the surface, itās got a soulful, elevated vibe that completely caught me off guardāin the best way possible.
From Dive Bar to Destination š¶š
I expected a dusty old joint that smelled like tobacco and stale beer. What I walked into instead was a hip, lively patio experience with a huge stage for live music, a spacious outdoor area perfect for dancing, and a massive fire pit that was easily six feet acrossāpure atmosphere. Itās the kind of place where you can let loose, celebrate, or just kick back and enjoy the night sky with a strong drink in hand.
Craft Cocktails That Compete with the Best šøš„
I ordered my go-to: an Old Fashioned made with reserve whiskey, and I was stunnedāit could go head-to-head with any high-end cocktail Iāve had in downtown hotspots. It was balanced, bold, and expertly crafted. You could tell this team knows their way around a barānot just in pouring drinks, but in creating an experience.
A Burger Built for Legends šš„
Letās talk about the foodābecause I had a phenomenal burger that was worthy of a standing ovation. Stacked with super thick-cut bacon, a perfectly runny over-easy egg, creamy avocado, and crispy fried onion chips, every bite was savory, juicy, and prepared to perfection. Paired with a side of seasoned fries, it hit that sweet spot between gourmet and comfort food. Any stallion would be lucky to have this hay.
Worth the Drive, Every Time ššØ
Sure, it takes a few miles to get out to Creston, but The LongBranch is absolutely worth the drive. This was my first time visiting, but thereās no doubt Iāll be back. Whether youāre celebrating with friends, catching some live music, or just want a killer burger and a cocktail under the stars, this place delivers something unexpected and unforgettable.
āļøāļøāļøāļøāļø ā Five stars for surpassing expectations and serving up good times and grub with style. Can't wait for my next LongBranch experience⦠hopefully itās...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreYāallā¦ā¦this place is truly a hidden gem. My neighbor kept bugging me about it and itās about a 45 minute drive to the center of nowhere for burgers at a saloon. Yeah sounds ridiculous but let me tell you, itās all worth it. The saloon itself is small, but the patio addition is the shining glory of it all. Thereās a small skate ramp, a corner stage for a live band, two small open bar locations for larger venues, a small fountain, a glass table in dedication to service people, dog friendlyā¦.my goodness. Food is good and the environment is so nice that we hung out for HOURS. There is a pool table inside of course, a corner stage for a band right next to a skate ramp, TONS of seating, a fire pit with Adirondack chairsā¦.places sectioned off but not secluded, t-shirts and poker chip gift cards. My friend drank and talks volumes about the lemon raspberry vodka. Oh and we accidentally found a teeter totter! The waiting area is simple, the hostess stand is cute as all get out and so is the bathroom hidden in the cut. The place is even dog friendly. The general manager brought out a bowl of water and even told the owners they have doggie bags available. Whaaat?!? I donāt have a dog but now I will! Lol
My neighbor was drinking and prefers the lemon raspberry vodka drink. I wouldnāt...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe were visiting family after a 3-hr drive, and they recommended Longbranch Saloon for lunch. It was another 24-min in the car, and I couldnāt imagine a lunch restaurant or food being so good that we had to drive that far. Our family said it was a local favorite, and after eating there, I see why! We ate outside in a patio setting that had plentiful seating and felt quaint and personal at the same time. The food was amazing, and the staff was super friendly. It seemed like they were understaffed for the volume of customers, so the wait for food seemed longer than I expected. But these days being short-handed seems common wherever I go, and I didnāt think it was worth removing any stars for that reason. The restaurant has an outdoor skate ramp, and a stage that could accommodate a small band. It seems like it would be a fantastic venue for a party / event. I will definitely request to eat here again the next time we...
